Thread: La Cueva

  1. #1

Arts District / Film Row La Cueva

Went to dry cleaners next door today, and noticed this place had went in the old "Lil Johnson's Mini Mart" space. It's tacos and Burgers, wonder how long it lasts. Midtown and downtown is really hitting a turning point.

Looks like it is now open in the picture...nothing on Urbanspoon yet, though.

Yes, it is open, it was open when I went by, but it appeared just employees waiting around no customers, but it was also 3:30pm

Tacos and burgers go together about as well as....steak and catfish, and combinations like that could only feel at home under the plastic green awnings adorning the white EIFS facade of the Legacy.

Not that I'm degrading it or anything. I feel like every true urban neighborhood has its deli/diner/dive oddities. I would also hope that this taco/burger joint be ran by nobody from a 1,000-mile radius of a Spanish-speaking country.
