Taste of Egypt (closed)

Never knew we had an Egyptian restaurant, but noticed this recently behind the Dunkin Donuts near NW 36th and May. Has anyone tried it?

from what i could tell, shishkabob turned 100% hookah bar and the restaurant moved over to this spot a few weeks ago. we went for lunch and were thoroughly unimpressed. it's basically a buffet with very few choices. there were maybe two main dish choices, a couple of vegetables and your typical salad bar to choose from. even still, the bill came to around $10.50 after tax. -M

I can second that review.
I really wanted to like this place. It wasn't bad, just not very good either. Minimal choices, none of which were that flavorful. Add in the price tag for a lunch buffet. I won't be back.
