He lives in Washington D.C and is an avid Kansas City suck up but absolutely hates Oklahoma City and everything about it and he pointed that out about the sidewalks, curbs, and he also pointed out how there's no "underground utilities" and I would rip his arse up but I'm not regestered on that forum so I have to vent about it here. So could someone please explain to me what's going on with "underground utilities"? I heard awhile back that we were gonna try and do that but I haven't ever heard any progress on that if that in fact is planned to happen sometime.
I think some of the problem is the weeds and grass. The curbs are there if you look hard enough. Also, the sidewalk is curved, not crooked, but you can't tell because of the weeds.

Then somebody needs to get out there and cut the grass. Lol

This shot is from just west of Mustang road on Reno. They are applying an asphalt coating on the existing road as we speak, and it does have curbs, if you look at the other side of the road, you can see it, concrete curbing with asphalt roadbed. They just finished 4 laning Czech Hall road just behind where he took the picture.... The grass needs to be manicured something awful out there...

I noticed the curb on the other side but wasn't really for sure of the other side. Thanks.

At the time of the picture, the road has not been re-striped..... Don't let the jealous folks out there in the world get to you, they are what they are.

We were driving in Monday night from Denver and saw the tower all lit up from north of the I-35 & Memorial area.

That area until recently was still in a fairly rural area of OKC, There are plenty of overhead utilities in residential areas of KC unless they have buried them in the past 4 years. The newer areas have them buried but then so do most of the newer areas in OKC. As far as progress on burying utilities, it comes down to who is going to pay for it.
What's this pole and wires doing in the Westport area if they don't exist?

I will never understand the need for someone to bash some other place just to make themselves feel better, I can pretty much find redeeming qualities in any city. I like KC and would have no problem living there.

Could someone get into the Oklahoma City Wiki page and correct our city proper population number. Should be 579,999 as of 2010 census, not the lower number that is being shown now. Seems funny but I looked at OKC Wiki not to long ago and it was showing 579,999. I checked the latest census figures and nothing has changed. I think someone has been messing with it. Maybe a joke? Hopefully somebody can please correct it. We aren't losing people, we are gaining them!

I also just noticed that the metro-area population is wrong. It's to high. Should be 1,252,987 as of 2010 census, not 1,280,578. Someone needs to get their facts straight! Although, it won't be to long and that will be right.

It actually said estimated for that figure but it's been corrected now also.

I patrol the Devon Tower Wikipedia page and soonerwilliam patrols the Oklahoma City Wikipedia page. OKC is in good hands.

No, that is not an advertisement for Allstate.

It will be interesting to see what that view will look like in the foreground when they redo that portion of Broadway Extension!

That's a very nice viewpoint. It almost looks like you were riding the rails when you took it. Great job!
