Fair point, but most people are more annoying than abusive in my experience...

The pubs in the UK close at 11PM and there is a monster business built around serving the people that come spilling out at that time. I think the Indian restaurants there make more money after 11PM than all day long.

And there are hordes of food trucks here in L.A. that congregate around local nightspots; and all seem to do a booming business.

Whatever dude. My daughter had a snack before coming out. It's a social scene on a Friday night. People go out to dinner later on Fridays than other nights. Feed your child a snack and then come and enjoy the festivities. This isn't the state fair.

They can either go straight to the event or go home to change clothes, pick up the kids, or whatever before heading out that way. They can start setting up at 4pm and that is not too early for them. This is only once on every last Friday monthly. They can do it. Just look at the Great State Fair of Oklahoma and how they do it for nearly 2 weeks by being open to serve around 10am. Like I said, open at a proper earlier time will extend the event through longer hours and that bring in hundreds, if not thousands, more hardcore cash.
This isn't the state fair. They'll set up whenever they damn well please. It's their event. If people don't like it they can eat at Arby's or something and then go watch America's Funniest Videos on DVR.

Have anyone notice soonerguru's foul language and words lately? I'm seeing it everywhere lately. One thread has him cussing numerously. :-(

soonerguru, no one said the even is the state fair. Chill out. Your birthday is tomorrow and you will be another year older. Hope that helps...

You're absolutely right, Dude. They can set whatever hours they please. It's a new event, however, and they might actually welcome some feedback about how it's set up. I wasn't being critical. If I decide to attend, the current hours work fine for me personally. I was just trying to suggest something that I thought might draw an even larger and more diverse crowd. Excuse me for living while I go eat at Arby's and watch America's Funniest Videos.

Until 2005, most UK bars had to stop serving at 11pm unless they had special licenses or permits. They were also subject to weird rules such as being able finish any drink purchased by 11:20pm. The reasoning was that serving after 11pm caused lawlessness when in actuality, it caused intense binge drinking. New regulations overturned much of this and consolidated the laws.

Revocable Right-of-way use permits, passed by city council today, for Elemental Coffee Roasters. Oct 28, Nov 25 and Dec 30 in 2011. Jan 27, Feb 24, Mar 30, Apr 27, May 25, June 29, July27, Aug 31 and Sept 28 in 2012.
She also said something about starting at an earlier time but I couldn't understand her as the Vice Mayor was speaking at the same time.

Good on them for picking an earlier start. Now Thunder can take his momma and others who don't like to eat late can still enjoy this event, and be gone before the later crowd descends. win-win.

I'm very sick with possibly liver failure. Waiting on test result. I have been in xtreme pain the past several days and I'm very weak now.

Agreed, Kevin. That was the point I kept trying to make earlier even though soonerguru thought I was crazy.

I'm getting better. Been using my phone like a comp and learned some things. Still on some meds. May be able to be at the market this weekend passing out candies.

How do you know? If you were or someone else was there to find out, someone was there.
