Default Nike Outlet - check your credit/debit cards

We just discovered a double debit-card posting of a purchase made at the new I-40 Nike outlet store on Sept 1st.

My wife called the store about it yesterday and whoever she talked to mentioned the same dates before she ever mentioned it, so I think we are not alone with this issue. I don't know if it is a case of fraud or a simple problem with them double-processing credit sales on that date, but they weren't very helpful and told my wife to work it out with our bank. For their mistake. We'll see about that.

I'm so happy to find someone else that has had the same experience. I also discovered a double card posting today. My purchase was also made on 9/1 and it cleared my bank on the 6th and the 23rd. I was given the same run around. I asked to speak to someone else and rather reluctantly was given an 800#. I called and left all my information at this point I have been told that their Retail Manager supervisors will be working with the store and I directly. So we will see

Its their mistake. They are responsible.

However, this is an extremely easy fix with your bank. They can see the charges of same amount being doubled. What the bank will do is to simply charged back the extra amount back to the business and you don't have to worry about anything. Your bank should easily and immediately on-the-spot refund the amount to your account

I mean to update this yesterday after I did further research. Apparently, the bank that handles the store's credit transactions accidentally did a re-post of all the transactions posted on the 1st. The person at the store couldn't tell me exactly how many, but she said there are "a ton" of people calling about it. Since this was done at the bank and not the store, the store couldn't do anything about it (issue refunds, etc). However, I was told to dispute the charge at my bank and there would be no problem with them getting the charge dropped. I did this at one of the bank branches and I'm told the dispute and refund would take up to 10 business days to process. Not a big deal, just a hassle.
