Brian. Wasn't in body of main article. A highlight box on the page had this note, though in rather teeny print;
A time was also mentioned somewhere earlier in the thread, and looking back, yeah, 8p-2a seems to be the consensus. My youngest comes in for a visit this weekend. If is isn't out with local friends, I may see if he wants a late night biteH&8th will be hosted from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. the last Friday of each month at 815 N Hudson. To learn more, follow H&8th on Twitter at @h_n_8th

Thanks. Trying to convince the Mrs. to put off dinner a bit and meet up with friends and take in this event.
Yes, it's 8pm-2am. I put the times and location in my original post. I hope everyone can make it. OKC needs something like this.
So it is running tonight then? I might go.
I knew it was in the posts here - my fear was that it wasn't clear in the Oklahoman. I see it is there, I just mentally ignore the little boxes etc. as on many sites they are just ads. I forget the Oklahoman often has links to additional information etc. in there boxes.
It is great that now in OKC we not only have cool things to do, but now we have CHOICES of cool things to do and places to go. Can't wait to participate in this.
hmmm... might have to check this out tonight. -M
Anyone know if this would be considered a 'pet friendly' event? Some friends are considering walking with us to eat, but we'd like to take our leashed dogs if appropriate.
I would totally go to this if I didn't have to work... Bummer.
People that go should take a few pics so we can see the set up and give your reviews. Hoping to be in town to make it next month.
I hope someone does offer up a review. Youngest lad wants momma's meatloaf tonight and well, hard to argue with his logic there.
It's already over. Health department showed up and shut it all down. Hundreds were there and sent home hungry.
Steve you showed up too late. The trucks left right before you got there.
Wtf?!!
People started lining up at 7pm. It was on its way to being a big hit. I guess city employees has nothing better to do.
How is it different than what they already do across town?
WOW!!!...........OKC you really are a Big League ______ !!!!
Odd. I presume each of these trucks operate daily in the community. Not sure why several in one place would create a need to send them all packing.
Maybe someone can get Shadid to come out against the idea so the rest of the city politicos can embrace it?

Why would the health dept shut the whole thing down? Sounds like everyone involved is already licensed, permited etc. Is there some City ordinance that prohibits multiple truck operators in a single location? Do they have to have a special permit/permission from Council or something (like Arts Festival etc). What is the story here?
Steve was arriving on scene as we were leaving, so I'm sure he will get the story. I heard something able no liquor license and not adequate electricity. I'm sure we will get the whole story soon.
Wow! This stuff makes me want to move back to Portland!
Here's what gets me - the city obviously knew about the event. So much so they planned this sting with at least a dozen health inspectors (and the ABLE guys had holstered weapons). This took planning and had no goal except to ruin a social event. Why in the heck didn't they think to call the event organizers in advance and ask if they could work with them to see that all laws were being followed? This really leaves a bad taste in everyone's mouth and certainly discourages other business from wanting to participate in things like this in the future.
