I wonder if the contractor has kept all of the positive referrals from job's past.

It seems that I recall seeing a story, in the media, early on that stated that this wasn't the first incidence. I just can't recall where. As to the secret source, I've heard it from a couple of sources, on both sides. All of my immediate family is in the Midwest City and Choctaw area.

Bottom line this was a business deal pure and simple. If you are smart enough to own your own business you should have enough common sense to know that you don't do anything to willingly alienate potential or current customers. If you do there are you run the risk of losing that job or that customers business. End of story. But since this situation involved a sports figure alot of peoples common sense has been sacked for a loss.

Now we can argue as to whether the head coach at OSU has the right to control the apparel of people working at his private redidence. I think he does, not that I agree with it, but I think he undoubtedly does.
The contractor claims that this was an out of the blue tirade in which he offered to turn his shirt(the one he accidentally put on in the dark) inside out to calm the situation.
This was actually the third time he wore an OU shirt to the Gundys house. The first time he was asked to please not wear one again. The second time he was asked to turn it inside out. He was asked to do it, he didn't offer. The third occasion is the one that we are all talking about. Seems pretty obvious that he intended to get a rise out of the Gundys. Mission accomplished.
Before I get accused of being an OSU apologist, I've had season tickets at OU for decades. This guy reminds me of the fans my family calls "gooner" fans. We delight in seeing them led out of the stadium by security for badgering(and sometimes threatening) the opposing teams fans.
The contractor was actually telling a story very similar to the above one until he decided to sue. Sounds to me like he was asking for a reaction, just not the one he got.
Your story may be 100% true but it can’t undo the damage Gundy has caused to his public image.

As a high profile employee of OSU Gundy must learn that his behavior is also a reflection of OSU.

Even if this contractor was 100% wrong Gundy needs to handle an issue like this with more maturity because in a few years very few will remember how wrong the contractor was. They will just lump the incident in with other examples of poor Gundy judgment.

Business is business. Blundy made it personal and he was the screaming child. There is nothing wrong with wearing an OU shirt. It is not a professional business that requires professional clothing. I wore OU clothes many times while attending OSU. Did I get kicked out? No. Blundy will lose the lawsuit and he should lose his job.

Blunder (Thunder), sorry you disgraced OSU by walking the campus as an OSU student wearing UO colors. Why did you do that? Because you wanted to create a reaction. No one who is an OSU fan goes to UO for school and wears an OSU shirt, unless they were suicidal.

Incorrect. I was put into that school without being aware it was a part of OSU. Clever tricksters they were. All I knew was Okmulgee Tech until I arrived to the campus was only then I saw the disgusting OSU signs all over the campus, especially at the entrance. I wore OSU shirts almost every Friday and on other days, I wore OU shirts, just the same as many other students there.

OK, well, wearing whatever gear you want to wear at a branch campus is fine. I'll give you a pass on that. If UO had branch campuses, I'd wear an OSU shirt too. To me, that's like going to UCO.
Now in regards to your name, I'm gonna have to keep calling you that until you call Mike by his normal name.

I don't care what you call me. Blundy is his name, because we all had to put up with his behavior nearly every day on the news.

Legally, I'm not sure if that changes anything. You can direct contractors as to things which are pertinent to their jobs, but insisting on not wearing a certain shirt? Not so sure.

Thunder your reply is a fine example of how some sports fans allow their love and support of a team to cloud their judgement.

I don't fault Gundy for letting the contractor go, he just should/could, have handled it better.
