Is there an archive of photos on-line of MCM buildings and houses that is an effort to document every one of them in the state (and/or just OKC) that we can not only enjoy but contribute to?

The shot from above of the dome church @ NW 36th & Walker evoked some sadness... I could see the empty lot where McMahon's used to be!

I was driving on MLK today and noticed that the iconic filling station at 50th is being renovated. It has been a sad icon for a long time and I am tickled to death that the flying V awning is being repaired and the building is being "put back together." I may be the only fan of the building left in town but when it was built it was in books and magazines all over the world and billed as the service station of the future. It may not be a Stage Center but I am glad it missed the wrecking ball.

I saw today that someone is rescuing the iconic service station with the V shaped awning at 50th and MLK. It was world famous when it was built and was in magazines all over the world. So now it can live a real life again and not just in architectural books and old mags. I may be it's only fan left for all I know but I am glad it isn't meeting the wrecking ball. It will probably just be a convenience store, but I don't care.
