We gots two roads to the national championship. Road 1, lose at FSU but win out the rest of the way and hope the teams above us lose at the right time. I think this is likely. Road 2, run the table and take care of bidnezz. This is what I want of course.

If we lose to anyone besides FSU, we're toast.

It’s never easy to go unbeaten but OU has worn the target better than anyone. Since the start of the AP poll OU has won more football games than any major college football team along with 7 national championships and a all time 43 conference championships.
Since the start of the AP poll in the 1930’s OU has been rank #1 more weeks than any other team in the nation.

I think the best thing for this state is for UO to be undefeated going thru and up to the OSU game. If they lose, us Cowboys will be happy because it'll be our 12th win in the all time Bedlam Series & if the Sooners win then it'll be the same ol', same ol' for us Cowboy fans, having to listen to crimson n' cream fans talk about how awesome they are as they live their lives vicariously through their favorite football team, lol.

I'm not ruining your thread buddy. Get over it. Don't get me wrong, football is NOW about the only good thing going on up at OSU and I'm a basketball guy. Hence since I'm an OSU fan, I don't live my life through my teams like you do. You're probably the type of fan that gets his car keyed by a Texas fan or his parts ripped off cause you can't handle a decent conversation about other teams in your conference. Best of luck to you guys.

Someone apparently didn't see the "LOL" or smileys. Then again, the heat makes us all grumpy. :-P

One of the good things...#3 and #4 play each other week one, so either Oregon or LSU are going to be working towards the top with 1 loss.

OU has been #1 atop the polls more times than any other program in history, so this is nothing new and we embrace it!Does that mean OU will win it all this year?NO,but the same could be said about any team who was atop the pre season polls!Like I said this is nothing new for OU and since WW2(modern era)There is not another program that stacks up,wether it be National Titles,Heisman Winners,Conference Titles,Bowl Appearances/Wins,Winning Percentage,etc......

And we experienced it 4 times in under a decade!IF OSU went the NC game and lost by 50 the pokes fans would be having parades,carnivals,naming children after Weeden and Blackmon and Gundy and 100 years from now the would tell stories about how one time OSU went to the NC game!
