That's where the new park being built with MAPS3 money comes into play. Hopefully they focus more on people wanting to ride bikes, a good run, or a 4 on 4 football game with friends, Etc..

No. I was down there Saturday and the Children's area was still not open, the thunderstorm thingy was still being worked on, the restaurant area was still being worked on, etc...

Sad the children's fountain didn't open this record heat breaking summer as expected.

I was at the Myriad Gardens today and noticed a coulpe things. First, they were testing the big ceramic water fountain for children and it was very cool. First it "rained" water down along with water coming from the ground then it fogged up the area... Should be a ton of fun for kids. You can see a picture here (I couldn't figure out how to make the image show up... help?): http://www.flickr.com/photos/24570805@N03/6183268469/.

I had one concern though. When I where along the path where the tiles that light up are located I noticed how many of them were loose. If you walked on a lot of them they moved and tilted. They didn't seem sturdy at all. It seem unwise to have areas open to walking when they're like that. Hopefully they're still working on setting them in right. Anyone know?

In Flickr, Click on the "Share" button then click "Grab the HTML/BBCode" then click "BBCode" and choose the size of your image. Then just copy and paste the code. It will look like this:

This way it shows the title of the image and the photographers name.

That looks awesome. Better eat it up while it's still warm.

I went by last night and they had the children's fountain lit in I guess LED lights or something. Same thing that every other structure in the Myriad Gardens has.

I have a photo of that, but am a perpetual fail at uploading. If someone wants to upload if for me, I'll send the photo their way.

If you don't have a Photobucket account, use ImageShack.us to free upload. When you upload, click on the picture thumbnail when it brings you to a new page, then right-click and click to save image url/location. Then link on here.

Or send to ThunderOKC@aol.com for free service for Thunder to do it for you.

Yeah, that's gotta be one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I didn't notice the water lit up but the rest of it was like in the picture and it was holier-than-thou.

Does it have to be kids only to have fun in there?

Not at all. It's right there in the open, so we expect kids "of all ages" to join right in the fun.

    Stunning photograph. Absolutely stunning.

So...when can I play in it?

How often does that thing cycle? Over and over, or on a schedule like beginning of the hour? Just wanted to make sure we were gonna see it if we went at a certain time.

What are your guys' plans for it during the winter?

I absolutely love the way it looks from the sky, even though it's sorta rare for the average human to see it from there I still love it.
