Awesome! They should stay open until 2:30 or 3am so they can catch the post bar crowd...

I believe that is correct at first, but that it may change depending on success, at least that is my understanding

I won't be there, but I will definitely be passing this on. That sounds cool. It would be really neat to have a forum meetup at something like this, one of these days.

Some businesses will close at 2 am (or before) just so they avoid the after bar crowd...which can be drunk and everything that comes along with it. Sometimes the extra business just isn't worth it.

Unless you're looking for a profit. It's not like they can trash your restaurant since it's outside... I've eaten after the bars close a million times and have never encountered a problem that would make it worth forsaking a lot of money... Just my experience.

Does this board have an eyes rolling emoticon? I could put it to good use on this thread.

This is a lame idea.. I give it 2 months\

This lame idea has been extremely successful in most bigger cities across the entire country. Just saying.

I think it's a great idea. I'm putting it on my calendar.

They do this a lot in Austin. This is a great idea.

By the way, my eyes rolling were not intended in the direction of the food idea, but some of the posters' idiotic comments on this thread.

If there was an eye rolling emoticon, its eyes already would have rolled out of its make-believe sockets from me using it so much..

If done right, I think this could be wildly successful.

If nothing else, I love that someone had the idea and is making the attempt.

This is definitely innovative for OKC and anything that can add to downtown nighttime streetlife is welcomed.

Some places do it gladly and others reluctantly...while the bean counters love it the staff that has to deal with it aren't quite as enthusiastic. And please don't misunderstand my post, I am not painting everyone that gets out of the bars as drunk, rowdy, trouble makers. Just that it only takes a few bad ones to ruin it for everyone. Sort of like the Bricktown curfew. Not all teenagers are that way.

I am also speaking from experience having worked in the food service industry (in a former lifetime) for 15+ years and as a customer. There is a marked difference in a place from before and after the bars close.

this is the closest I could find (that appear)

Why? Because it competes with your business, even though I doubt The Peacock is open that late on a Friday?

Yep. Portland has amazing food carts AND they have awesome restaurants. Both can thrive.

Thumbs up from me. I really like the idea. I'd much rather go with a group to an outdoor food court with lots of choices than trying to figure out where one truck is that will satisfy my entire group. And, as stated by others, this concept has definitely worked in places like Austin.

Awesome Idea, they have these type of food courts all over Seattle and they are very popular.
