Just had dinner at the Grill on the Hill, and I am glad that it looks like business has really picked up for them. Hopefully they've earned a fair amount of staying power, because the district needs that restaurant. It's kinda cool to go and look at all the old timey Capitol Hill artifacts that make up their decor..

That is definitely a local business that I hope people will support.

What's your point? Rich people's arm hair doesn't contaminate food?

Hipsterdoofus was simply pointing out a fact. A fact I might add that does freak some people out. I've noticed it, but I don't care. I eat there about once a month (1 dog limit these days). I know someone that wouldn't eat there anymore after they saw Ana wipe her forehead with her hand and then start making more coneys.

That aside, they do have great dogs and a beautiful home in Edmond.

That's what I have always said, especially amongst your own profession....Austin is the same way as well.

After working in the food service industry (in a previous lifetime) for over 15 years, I can promise you that there are things going on in EVERY kitchen that the health dept would deduct points for. Not saying it would shut the place down, just not "acceptable" food handling procedures. Heck many kitchens and what we do in our own homes wouldn't pass...LOL

If any of it bothers you, by all means don't go, but you might as well stop going out all together.

Be sure and do it in that whiney little voice I imagined in my head when I just read your reply.

Let her know what exactly - that I eat there regularly (they already know that), that I don't care what issues people have with their perceived cleaniness, that I think they have a nice home or that SOMEONE ELSE objected to having forehead sweat on their coney?

Then why would you make that comment about someone you know would not eat there because of Ana? Its pretty much the same thing as you saying it, Its almost slanderous and detrimental to my close friends place of business. I am sensitive, because I have known them for over 38 years.

I highly suggest you get over it and stop wearing your friends on your sleeve. I made the comment because it did indeed support a comment made by another and furthermore it is a FACT. FYI - not even close to being 'slanderous.'

Yes, We are on our 4th generation business owners in Downtown OKC. . This is really a very very very small town. We have relationships with everyone there Dad and even there grandparents... When you have had roots for 100 years in an area you develope quite a network.. Oklahomans stick up for each other unlike someone else on this blog who probably is not from here. They will never understand

Absolutely, I am curious to see how business is going to be when-ever Walker goes to a 2 way street and when they shut down the Walker off ramp. The new I-40 will determine alot on how the flow of traffic will also change downtown.. The stupid median they installed on Reno did not help.. The Project 180 project committee had that added in the last minute, it was never in there initial plan they gave me they snuck it in on me. When-ever I tried to fight the median issue the 180 committee just through up there hand and said it not us we are not responsible for the median on Reno. It was never supposed to go that far down all the way to dewey..

First of all, thanks for the insult that sounds like something a 5 year old would say. Second, thanks for assuming I'm not rich - makes my day (also, is it only money that makes you rich?). Thirdly, about 90% of the people on here need a sense of humor. I ate frequently at Coney Island when I worked in the Capitol Hill area. The whole hot dog made on the arm thing bothered some of my co-workers, but never bothered me, I just thought it was funny. You need to lighten up a little.

I have been working on my 6 -plex here in CH and its been awesome, the people are nice and I feel very safe here. I even walked down to the store on 25th and Walker and people waived at me.. Maybe its because I shaved my head and look a little crazy

Fire Chief Keith Bryant, other city officials and project members rededicated the newly renovated Station No. 7 on Thursday. It's just east of Robinson Avenue on SW 23 and was completed for about $200,000 less than its $1.9 million budget.
    Great Job!

ON EDIT: presume this was paid with bond issue money but don't see this station listed in either the 2000 or 2007 GO bond (may have been paid out of the "Unlisted" category). Reason why is: the $1.9 million budget mentioned, is that the "original" budget or a revised one that came about later?

Awesome,, this is just the beginning.. CH is back.. I am telling all you skeptics you better invest here... this is a smart play right now, because you can still get in at a decent price..

Unlike some other highly inflated areas north of 10th street
