Awesome pictures! I really like all of them. You can definitely make out the taper at the top of Devon now!

I've said this before but it's a strange feeling to see some of these photos and not instantly recognize your own hometown!
It also illustrates how incredibly long it's been since we've seen any significant change in our skyline.
Love that 2nd shot by plmj
Here is a little bit of fun with photoshop!
Wow, that's pretty cool!
Love that photograph!!! DT is starting to look great.
Took these at 9am this morning:
The entrance to the building facing south where the Rotunda is has most the glass installed. It's the same kind used on the Rotunda itself. It's the structure the curves in front of it.
Great pics Metro, thanks!
yah very good pics...i get a wicked view of downtown on my morning drive from near I-240 & May...as I look to the NNE, devon is centered with the other downtown buildings on its left & right.
Speaking of the above shots... there's one shot from the coming July time lapse, that just blows away most of the others. Out of all the shots for the month, this 14 second clip is one of the best I've ever gotten. They're just so rare, being in the right place at the right time....
From today...
Are those LEDS being installed?
If you are refering to the metal strips laying across the man-lift, they are a component of the glazing system being installed, not LEDs.
But it does look like the mullions could also serve as wire chases.
Anyone noticing how long this next level is taking on the tower? Isn't the 50th floor done and they are now working on putting up the 50th ceiling? Is the first 20ft floor the 47th, the one that is right below the bottom of the V beams?
Much more complex at the top in terms of angles and such. They certainly can no longer use the standard forms utilized for most the other floors.
Plus with the taper and all the other added complexities, I'm sure the majority of the glass panels have to be customized.
Still, I'd expect the building to top out next month, which has been the projection all along.
I was just wanting to make sure that they are on the 50th floor, cause of the elapsed time and I don't see the concrete boom from those pictures, I was curious that they are now using steel for the 50th floor, instead of concrete. On a second note, I can see why it is taking longer to lay the floor on these floors with the Y beams. All the other levels has the 3 faces of the building that had a bend in the middle going inward. Now that they have that triangle appearance, it changes the 3 faces floor shape. Now the 3 faces do not meet right in the center, and it flattens inbetween the Y beams. Instead of the faces having made a V, now it is like \_/. I hope I made any since!! LOL
Your last sentence I can comprehend. But it makes my head hurt because I've tried to write about it myself, all while imagining it in my head, the angles involved with the top of this building. Very perplexing!
Man How do you post pictures that are on my desktop and not from a url?
