Went and loved it, but I'm a Harry Potter fan thick and through. I've never been the kind of fan who felt the films needed to directly reflect each and every line in each of the books. They are certainly too massive for that.

As a film that is a mere reflection of the book, it held its ground solidly, and brought us back to the core of the emotional journey Harry set out upon some eleven years ago.

It was a fitting end to one heck of a series, and while I had a few quibbles with it, overall I thought it was great.

I'm not sure people who have not seen prior films, or even read any of the books, will really understand it, however.

Can't wait to see it again, this time at the Quail IMAX.

Saw it. Loved it. My daughters grew up loving the books and the movies. Have seen every one multiple times with the kids. And yes, my wife and I gladly took them to the midnight showing of the past several films. This film was just great. A lot of action. A lot of emotion. A lot of excitement. I really enjoyed it a lot. And I look forward to seeing it again.

Rod's article was hysterical. I know Jenny campaigned long and hard for him to see Harry in a new and different light, but he just didn't get it, and darn it, that's okay.

Just as I will never attune to the adventures of Green Lantern/Phantom/Ghost, Captain Universe, or whichever other Marvel Comic hero Hollywood throws at me, nor will I get my yucks from "SAW XVII: Cutting Deep," some will never get the magic of Harry Potter. To me, it's neither here or there. That's why we have variety.
