The live charrette was completed yesterday. The online charrette will continue until June 22. Thanks to all those who participated. If you haven't yet, I hope you will submit your ideas or at least vote for your favorites. We are doing our best to give the community a chance to weigh in on what changes they would like to see occur. The more interest we get now, the easier it will be to do the next time around.

Really sorry to have missed this. Blair, do I understand this will be done for other districts too? This reminds me of the early days of the Automobile Alley Main Street program, immediately after the bombing. It was pretty amazing to share the room with some of the people involved, and to see creative, informed people dream up possible uses for a great, underutilized district.

    Urbanized -

I am don't know if anything similar is going to happen in other districts. This project was funded by Steve Mason and the 9th Street Development. If other areas are interested in doing something similar, we would certainly be interested in trying to help.

Hope to see you there next time!

It's a shame this thread only got one reply. Sorry I missed it..that would have been awesome. Mason has incredible vision for a developer.

Sometimes the good ones go straight to the bottom while the bad ones float to the top and stay there.

    Whatever happened from this?

I suppose you'll have to ask Steve Mason. Or, if I remember, I'll ask him when I see him. I'm sure he's got a vision for 9th and Broadway regardless. It took a vision to do what he's already done and I doubt he stopped having visions.
