Several of my favorites in the region are mostly in Dallas: Fountain Place, JPMorgan Chase Tower, Trammel Crow Center, and, yes, Bank of America Plaza. But, once complete, Devon Tower will be amongst them!
Lol. Very nice.
I'll be making a trip to OKC this Fall to see the massive tower...
with all that reflective glass on the devon, i wonder if we are going to have heat spot problems like the wynn in las vegas..
I agree with Thunder about the height.

Makes it look like you could take a second Chase Tower, stack it on top of the current Chase, and that Chase building would only be slightly higher than Devon.
I, too, would like to know what's going on with the height? Some are saying the floor count was upped to 52, instead of 50. I heard the height would be 909 feet, instead of 850.
One thing is for sure, if there are only 2 floors left, I don't see it being as big as the website I listed above, has it, compared to Chase Tower.
There's not 2 floors left. They just put up the diagonal rebar for the top 4 floors of the tower (crown), the floor below that is 47. So, I'm saying 51.
They have completed the 46th level which still leaves about 125 feet to go, including the crown.
Although not all this space will be occupied, it is the equivalent of 8.5 of the current floors.
Or put another way, the current building is only about 85% of what will be the final height. They probably won't top out until late summer.
That's still just so crazy to me... This thing already towers over everything downtown and can be seen for miles and it's still rising..
okay so lets see it was going to be 50 floors at 850, now its 52 floors and the last 4 floors totaling 125 feet... so how big is it going to be now, seems like a lot of changes from the 850 ft 50 floor plan?
It's still going to be 850 feet.
And it's still likely only going to be 50 occupied floors.
Here is a pic of downtown I took from I-44 on the morning of 06-11-11:

Noticed a couple spots today. First I was out around Waterloo Rd and Midwest Blvd. The property I was on was higher than most in the neighborhood but I could see Chase to the right and where you would see Devon if the 2 water towers in Edmond were not in the line of view. Also from Kilpatrick turnpike, eastbound at night you can see the lights inside the building peek over the tree line just before hefner parkway.
Ya know, I got to thinking, I recently saw the original floor plan of the tower, where at least two elevator cores only went up to a certain level and then it was one elevator core beyond that. What floor are they on now, and there are still 2 elevator cores? Did something change so much so from the original 54 floors that they're still doing 2 cores to the top? Or will there be more floors?
I was pulling out of a freinds neighborhood, just south of Tecumseh road on 12th (Sooner) in Norman last week, and could clearly see it from there.
I think my source got confused.
I'm quite sure it's still going to be 850 feet and 50 occupied levels, they just might have one or two more mechanical floors and that shouldn't affect the total height.
Some opinions from Skyscraper City:
I'm sorry... BUT OKC must have the wimpiest looking downtown I have eve seen in my entire life! I know... living in San Francisco one gets a little spoiled as far as a interesting skyline goes but this OKC DT looks plain pathetic. Even Albuquerque's skyline is more impressive than this... even with the ***** looking tall tower.
Tulsa has nothing to worry about as far as Oklahoma City is concerned.
