Chocolate Decadence 2006 Delights with Sweet Treats, Smooth Jazz, and Fabulous Auction
Oklahoma City, OK - Chocolate Decadence, one of Oklahoma City’s most anticipated events and Valentine tradition, is back! Chocolate Decadence 2006 will be held Thursday, February 9th from 5:30 – 8:00 PM, again at 825 N. Broadway. Held in one of the coolest venues this City has to offer, the Hudson-Essex Office Lofts exudes hip, urban- chic in Historic Automobile Alley. The party showcases decadent chocolate treats from premier local restaurants and caterers and features smooth jazz stylings, wine and champagne, gourmet coffees and the ever popular auction.
In its ninth year, Chocolate Decadence benefits Historic Automobile Alley, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the historic preservation and economic revitalization of the district. In the past few years, the pace of redevelopment in this mixed-use urban neighborhood has greatly accelerated. This year’s efforts will contribute significantly to the enhancement of the new 6th Street Centennial Gateway, and will serve as a model for other City-wide projects.
“Chocolate Decadence has evolved every year and as an event is unique in its offerings. It’s a romantic and exciting way to celebrate the evening with your valentine,” said Meg Salyer, President of Accel Financial Staffing and co-chairman of the event.
This year’s event will feature chocolate desserts by Bin 73, Boulevard Steakhouse, Bourbon Street Café, Bricktown Brewery, Brown’s Bakery, Cascata, Cheever’s Café/Iron Starr Urban BBQ, CocoFlow - featuring rich, molten liquid cascading to chocolate ecstasy, Deep Fork Grill, LIT – back by popular demand with their chocolate martini but this year adding a raspberry twist to the favorite drink, Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse, New World Cuisine, Nonna’s, Robert Williams Catering, SophaBella’s, Tom & Jerry’s, and Trattoria il Centro.
A key part of the evening is the auction, featuring gifts that celebrate this romantic season. Long time sponsor Samuel Gordon Jewelers will make another appearance this year with an exquisite piece of jewelry. With thanks to Geno’s Furs, you’ll be able to stay warm through the end of winter. Other fabulous auction items include a once in a lifetime trip for two to Napa Valley, along with beautiful artwork, and other tantalizing items you won’t want to miss!
