I used to help my Uncle build huge grandfather clocks as a child. Not much these days though.

Rank amateur. I hang out at NAWCC and get tips, but totally a n00b unless it's old weight driven ogee types. I currently have a small collection of 13 clocks ranging in age from about 1860 to 1973 (old kit grandfather clock), but they are all running ...except for my newest, a 1924 Gustav Becker, which is driving me insane.

I'm a 'yard sale' horologist in that almost all of mine have come from estate sales, yard sales or salvation army stores.
