Same here. Hopefully those who wish for the biggest, baddest storms to hit the metro actually think of what they are wishing.

Absolutely heartbreaking - the scenes as well as the stories coming from the devastation. Just wondering what we can do to help our neighbors...

That dude acted scared to get out of the car to help people. His wife had to ask multiple times before he finally decided to listen. It was almost as if he were scared of something. I would've been jumping out of the car every chance I had to help peeps.

I thought the wife was great but I sure don't fault that guy. We weren't there and I imagine his own fight or flight reaction was in play. He was keeping an eye on storm conditions. He wasn't sure what they would find themselves dealing with. If things went to hell in a handbasket, it wouldn't be the wife hauling him into the car and driving to safety - it would be the other way around, guarantee you. That is a lot of responsibility. I don't think we are in a position to judge, especially since apparently they ended up helping. Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.

Wish I was kidding. Just look through the weather threads on here, won't take you long to know what I'm talking about.

My brother is in Joplin, he lives in St. Louis and several from his chruch went to set up temporary sleeping and food tents. He says of the 20 plus disasters he's helped at, this is one of the worse. I asked him what they needed, he replied, prayers, nothing but prayers.

Thanks for following up on that. It always amazes me how people walk away from these sorts of things.
