    Default VELOCITY EMagazine

This landed in my inbox this morning. It's a new emagaizne being produced by the OKC Chamber. Some really impressive statistics and graphics. Makes me more and more proud to see all of our accomplishments encapsulated in this way.

    Here's the link: http://http://www.velocityokc.com/

The email I got is below:

Oklahoma City has grown by leaps and bounds over the past 15 years. As citizens of Greater Oklahoma City and members of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, you've played a key role in the success we've seen. And now it's time for you to help spread the word.

Today marked the launch of Velocity, the digital magazine component of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber's image campaign. This new publication, available at www.velocityokc.com, is targeted at CEOs and business decision-makers around the country and provides a dynamic new portrait of Oklahoma City, helping to share the benefits of living and working in the region. The magazine, produced by Ackerman McQueen, brings Oklahoma City's story to life through rich content including articles, pictures, links, videos and more.

The videos featured in Velocity tie the magazine back to another key component in the campaign - GreaterOKC.tv. This robust online channel features nearly 1,000 videos about Oklahoma City's business and cultural climate, and was created using assets and materials provided by the Chickasaw Nation.

It is vital that we tell our story to as broad an audience as possible. Help the Chamber increase the success of this program by and continue our city's momentum by sharing it friends, colleagues and family members.

btw, this isn't a magazine. It's a very large press release in magazine format.

And fonts. Only the chamber would use Ackerman, and think anything they put out is cool.

Haha, at least in the videos with Roy he isn't using the word "Paradigm" a thousand times. He used to like that word a lot.

What are you talking about? Is there a better advertising firm in OKC than Ackerman McQueen? Ray Ackerman is an OKC legend.

Yes Spartan, plenty. Ackerman was the ad firm of decades past, younger, more creative firms have rewally risen up and challenged them the last decade.

Sparty, if anything my comment was something I could see you making, I find it odd you supporting the old guard, in which Ackerman is a key player in the club.

I am extremly please with the "marketing tool." My out of state clients have been very positive about it as well.

I don't detest the "old guard" just when they make bad decisions, sometimes they do good things.

Very average attempt at a online magazine presence, the best online magazine so far I have seen is ionokmag headed by media specialist, photgrapher Don Swift.
