Awesome! That will look great. Wonder how they will manage it with the glass going up. Perhaps leave that section unfinished?

I believe the ones outside will be covered in stainless steel and the ones inside will likely be plastered:Are the concrete poles going to be left exposed? Or will they be covered in some type of material?
They're not done with the 41st floor, but they're already starting on the 42nd.
How far along are they with the exterior lighting system? I wonder if they would be willing to light up blue as much they can for the Thunder.
I noticed while doing video of the Rotunda, the crane was lowering this small triangular piece of glass down. Upon reviewing the footage just now, it looks like they're adding the triangular glass pieces onto the top of the Rotunda.
They never got the chance to display the banner today due the weather.
^^ thats why we lost!!! Uggghhh!
I'm looking out my office window and they just dropped the "O" and half the "T" on the "GO THUNDER" they are putting on Devon Tower. I'll try to get my camera at lunch and snap some pics.
Is it just the one sign on the north side?
Or with there more on other sides of the building?
I'm looking at the north side, I imagine they will do one on the south as well.
Although this was probably not meant as such, this would be an ideal location in OKC for a skyscraper the size of the Williams tower. Basically, we are talking about the parking garage/mall of the Sheraton. Makes a lovely 'staircase' effect with the Devon and Chase towers.
I'd rather downtown not look like a 'more bars' cell phone commercial, LOL. Need to build a highrise on the northside of downtown!
by the time they finish putting up the Go Thunder sign, the Thunder's season will be over, and they will have to take it down, lol...
They have half the D done now, I bet it's done by EOB tomorrow, if not today
Are there any floors that are totally completed yet?
I see the camera has been tilted, again. Upper window frame coming into view. Could be the last, or next to last required adjustment.
The banner was finished last night.
As a point of reference, the lettering of the banner is centered on the 40th level.
They are just completing the 43rd and with the 44th or 45th it will become the tallest in the state.
Also, the top four floors (47-50) will be about 20 feet as opposed to the standard 15 (apart from the first six which are also about 20). And then the crown will be another 60 feet on top of that.
Today's interesting character run-in while doing video downtown:
Walking down Sheridan on Film Row, there are always these people that just hang around on the south side of the street on this one corner. I have my camera out, but try to cup it in my hand or hide it behind my bag. I already see a guy walking towards me that I'm leary of. I get almost past him and he starts saying, "Hey man." I felt like just ignoring him but I decided not to be rude. He says something like, "I'll make you a deal, man" and points towards my camera. I immediately say that I don't have time to talk, I'm parked on a meter (which I wasn't) and have to be quick. That seems to get him to leave me alone and I'm thinking, "Great this is already starting off bad."
I was on the corner of Hudson and Sheridan where all the construction workers hang out. I always try to avoid people in general and keep a low profile. So when I hear, "Hey man..." I'm expecting it to end, "Hey you can't be recording man" or something along those lines. So when I look up it's a construction worker. This was one of the only ones that has ever said anything to me, and the first to start a conversation. He actually said something like, "Hey you're the guy from that forum. I see you around all the time." He said he was on here but got "kicked off" or wasn't allowed on here anymore because his employer found out or something like that. He said I got good footage, which was a nice compliment. Makes you wonder how many people read this forum, and who they are.
I was headed towards the library/municipal building area to get the "GO THUNDER!" banner. I'm walking right in front of The Hightower, and some guy in a beat up old minivan shouts something at me but I couldn't make out what it was. I just kept walking. I looked over my shoulder and he had his arm hanging out the window. Do I attract all the stupid people downtown?
Anyway, today's weather was fantastic and I ended up getting a lot more than just the banner. Nothing much different than the stuff from the past few days. There really just isn't much new to get video of. The only thing you can really see now is the Auditorium and the Rotunda. The banner is the only thing new. I hope by Thursday to have all five videos finished. Two are already up.
Oh, I did stop by the Downtown Library for the first time. They have some amazing old photos displayed throughout the building. I went up to the 4th floor where RetroMetroOKC meets. Looking forward to that meeting for sure.
They have the "G" up on the south side of the tower. That side has a crane attached, so I guess they will have to put up the banner underneath it.
