Agreed. It's just another "I know something that you don't know but I can't tell" post.

Wait until you actually have some information before posting.

I do have all the info, but am sworn not to leak the name of the company/business yet. How is that lame. This site is for info junkies, and knowing something new will be filling up more vacant space is exciting.

Given a long enough timeframe, at least you can never be wrong!

Metro can you say if it is new construction or if it is going into an existing building? And if it is office type or retai/restaurant?

Metro........Can you say if it is a Local company or a National Company?

Also I have no problem with people posting on Okctalk with vague info and not divulging all of the details. Usually this is like getting a tip and now we all know something is coming. We can now start asking around other friends and peers to see what other details can be found.

    Spartan, grow up.

Okclee/lasomeday, I can say existing building, and national out of state. That's all I can say for now.

I have no problem with it either Metro, why give up the goods now, takes the fun out of speculation, rumors, and opinions, after all isn't that what fuels OKCTALK?

I am sure we will know soon enough...

Since I know Urban Outfitters has looked downtown and we've already talked about that, I'm going to guess American Apparel. That's one of the national retailers that likes to locate in places like AA. Now, a lot of times they have an Urban next door or neaby, so I'm going to hope we get both of them.

Well I knew about Devon Tower before Larry Nichols did, so....

Seriously doubt its AA, they have some serious financial issues right now.

It's hard for me to imagine AA going into OKC considering the last one I saw was in central Stockholm. But I suppose it's more likely than a lot of stores...

    Not just financial issues.

They have 2 stores in Dallas... but yes with financial issues I doubt they are opening a new store.

It's not American apparel or traditional retail

There's an AA in midtown Omaha, right next to Urban Outfitters. It's a shame they're having problems, as I like their merchandise.

I personally don't get the hype of American apparel, even though I'm in their core demographic, to me, it's overpriced feminine shaped plain tshirts.

Wolfgang Puck Bistro? Seriously, I'm guessing a grocery of some kind....

  20. Default Re: Midtown Developments

How do we know that market isn't present here in OKC? Obviously, we have vast amounts of college students in the metropolitan area. FWIW, I like American Apparel and how their shirts fit and they'd make a killing here. So would UO. Lot of untapped demand here. Bring on an H&M too; we sure do like a good deal or two.

Guess I was extra cranky this morning. Nonetheless the company I heard about was going to go next to coffee slingers, but now that CS is taking that space, I will have to see if they are looking elsewhere.

So basically the info you have metro is premature and well, wrong. But by all means, keep giving us these awesome bits of in-the-know information. Now where is that rolling eyes emoticon...

Nice seeing Metro get called out... usually is the first person to call someone else out. "WE ALREADY TALKED ABOUT THAT ON ANOTHER THREAD"

Was just down in the planning office and saw them bust out the hideaway plans - they must have weighed about 18 lbs. Contractor was cutting a check for permits. No surprise, I suppose as we all knew it was about to kick into gear.

Coffee Slingers is expanding? Are they going to be serving food or something and need kitchen space?
