The Petroleum Club moving there would actually make sense. They've managed to stay pretty successful through the downturns and now with a landlord who is not investing in the property.
Might be a good time to make the jump and I bet Devon would give them a sweet deal.
And "taking the top two floors for a restaurant and banquet facility" sounds exactly like the setup the PC has at Chase now.
That high the view is not very different between a floor or two and keeps public attention on the building after getting use to seeing the exterior if you have a premium space at the top people visit. PR and recruiting are generally ongoing for a company that size. The crown with a 60 foot ceiling of the building makes inefficient office space but a grand public space, and the next highest space is labeled mechanical.
Devon Energy's tower now tallest structure in OKC
The structure will include an adjacent glass rotunda that will be 100 feet tall and 100 feet in diameter, where employees will enter the building. The building's top two floors will be open to the public as a restaurant and banquet facility, Nichols said.
"We knew a lot of people in Oklahoma City would want to come look at the view from the top, because it's unique," he said.
I'm in.
Here's a better banner. The logo imperfections were driving me nuts.
^^Looks great but why do I have to scroll to see the skyline? It's not a big deal but was the older one like that?
Is your monitor widescreen? I have a large monitor that's 1920x1080.
Here's the original.
Is this one better?
^^Sweet!Hell yeah Thank You! The logo looks alot better.
Logo can be adjusted by editing the source code for the logo. Adjust the width % or px.
Not everyone is using widescreen and, honestly, widescreen is crap for computer use.
For now, I'll be among the many on here unable to view the skyline.
Thanks as always, William!
New banner is uploaded.
Just noticed this, this morning. Since I'm doing sort of the same thing, I found it very interesting. Looks like Steve's been busy.
Downtown Views
By my calculation up to $2 billion is being invested downtown between now and 2015. So what do you like when you look at downtown today? What don’t you like? If you could change one thing, what would it be?
Downtown looked amazing from the airport this morning. Pics up later today when I get back in town.
I don't even know where in this 229-page thread to find it. What was the final expected height of the Devon, and what's the height of the Chase?
Devon will be 850' and Chase is 500'.

Thanks gang. I was telling my buddy's five year old yesterday how big the Devon Tower was going to be. He was so interested!
Taken yesterday:
It would be really awesome if the banquet space could also serve as an observation deck when not in use!
Please, please, please do not let it be the Petroleum Club! I went about a year ago for a wedding reception (sit down service, not buffet) and the food was HORRIBLE!
