Thread: Nunu's

    Far North Nunu's

Yummo. This is the best Middle Eastern food in the metro area, bar none. Incredible hummus. Solid falafel (and they won't try to put tzaziki sauce on it!) Great njadara. Wonderful plate meals and specials. There's also a nice little market attached. Wonderful atmosphere. It's on OKC's restaurant graveyard: West Memorial. Where have I been the last two years?

    Give it a try.

Yeah, this place is really solid even despite it looking super generic on the exterior of the building.

My mom and Nunu went to high school together at NW Classen. I still have yet to go BUT I hear fantastic things about it (from other family members and, of course, you guys in this thread). I just love kibbi. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!

I used to frequent Magic Lamp, and I was a pretty big fan of it, but Nunu's is a considerable step up.

Nunu's and the Hibachi place next door are two of the best restaurants on Memorial, IMO.

I should add that I recently visited another good Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurant. It is called International Market or something like that and it's in a strip mall at 39th and Mac. It's actually a fairly large grocery/market owned by a Jordanian family. They serve very good food with daily specials. They've been open like three weeks.

An interesting video interview by Dave Cathey which is mainly geared to an upcoming episode of "Restaurant Startup".

Nunu's Mediterranean Cafe and Market owner Clayton Farhood and general manager Stephen Bradley will appear on Wednesday's episode of "Restaurant Startup."
