Maybe so, the last time I ate there (about a month ago), I took 3 bites before I found meat.

Back in "the day", no one came close to the CFS at Nelson's Buffeteria in downtown Tulsa. Nelson has long since retired, but his oldest son opened Nelson's Ranch House last year. I don't know how it's doing, but was told at the time the CFS was still Smitty's original recipe and was still the best. If that's true and you are up for the drive to Tulsa, it's definitely one of the best. (And the homemade pie was always unbelievable).

Kendells hands down. Make the drive from Choctaw to meet up with friends at Kendalls before every OU home game and eat that before the game for my pregame meal. They also have some great cinnamon rolls after you clean your plate.

Interested in the Sunrise place though, have seen it, but never been there yet. Thanks for the tip.

    I will confirm positano's assessment of Nelson's.

I'll agree Kendells is decent, it's as big as the plate it's served on, but most enjoy it for the quanity, not quailty.
