Yes, they (Corsair) are involved with Midtown(owned/sold Plaza Court, now have lots of property for lease on 7th at Hudson). R.D. and Scott Smith.

As I stated, it is altogether unlikely that the Eufala Mayor is the R.D. Smith of the Midtown development group, but I thought I would ask if anyone here could confim/deny.

The man in Eufala is not the same RD Smith that is part of Corsair.

A new coffee brewery at NW 8th and Hudson.
In the old auto repair shop.

    Sounds like fun to me.

Ryan Parrot of Iguana was asking on Twitter today what restaurant concepts would people like to see in OKC, I'm wonering if he and Steve Mason are going to put a new restaurant where Bicycle Alley was.

Bring it on! I'd like to see an upscale Bistro downtown with a real urban feel to it. I love Red Prime, and I love their food, but sometimes I want a really good meal that's slightly less filling or meaty.

I dont follow Parrot (he tweets too much) but if he reads this Id tell him Cuban. We need some Cuban. Oh, or a good urban breakfast joint. Anyone ever been to Snooze in Denver? Thats what Im talking about.

The coffee roasters moving in on 8th and Hudson is none other than Elemental Coffee. They are moving from their previous location to their new spot on 8th and Hudson. Even more exciting is that they're not just going to be roasting coffee, but it will also be a cafe where connoisseurs can try their ever changing blends of coffee. Great for those of us who office at the okcCoCo.

A few coffee shops in town actually serves coffee from Elemental coffee blends. I can't wait to get my coffee brewed straight from the roasters themselves.

So, I guess no one knows what happened to Desmond Mason's art studio in Plaza Court... Anyway, Louie's is now hiring in the old Midtown Deli building. Looks like it shouldn't be too long before it opens...

I walked by last week and he was in there painting...unless I was just imagining things...which is entirely possible.

With all the latest urban developments announcements in Deep Deuce, will Midtown step up to the plate?

I would like to see a Deep Deuce vs. Midtown, inner-city, urban development rivalry.

How much longer until we see a major residential development for Midtown?

It was announced a while ago that his studio is located in Classen Curve.

This is a damn good question. But when Tanenbaum first announced his project, he said he wanted to break ground in January. It's now almost March. We're moving at OCURA speed now. Maybe Tanenbaum was not accounting for the reality in dealing with OCURA.

It's very hard to keep track of anything involving OCURA because they don't post their agendas or minutes on the web... Unlike virtually every other city agency.

Maybe Steve knows what's going on.

Desmond has something in Plaza Court. He's got paintings in there and his name is on the wall. I'm not sure if it's a studio or what, but he clearly has taken possession of the space.

Well yes I'd hope so,they're married. I just meant it's her baby and the art studio, his baby.

Oh it sounded like you were correcting onthestrip for saying it was Desmond's yoga/pilates studio. After all he is featured on the barre3 okc website.

Noticed quite a few contractors (8-10) working inside the Packard Building (10th & Robinson) yesterday morning. Also seemed they had a Blueprint table set up with large set of plans laid out on it. Interesting because I haven't seen anyone there for the past few months.

Hey Everybody! New to the forum, but I have been reading it for a while now. I registered so I could give input to this topic. 1) I actually live in Hadden Hall, moved in on 2/11. I absolutely love it here! They are still working on the entry way and the first floor, but it is going to be awesome when it is finally finished! 2) This building is fully leased, including all of the units that are not yet finished. It has been fully leased since the middle of January. Because this building went so fast they are moving on to the next project very quickly. 3) I talked to the architect of this building and he said he has been selected for their next building (Cline Hall) which will be studio apartments and a few two bedrooms. According to him, there will be an addition at the back of the building, but that is just a statement from him. 4) I noticed a lot of work on the building next door and asked the leasing agent about it (I am good friends with her) but she remained mum on the topic and wouldnt give me any details. So we shall see what will happen. I noticed signs on the door today stating that goggles must be worn in the construction area, so there is definitely work going on in there. As a last note, the way they did my building (Hadden Hall) is beautiful! You can see pictures of it on their Facebook. I love it and all of the neighbors I have met so far are great! The leasing agent told me that they were shocked by how fast the units went in this building (thus construction ongoing while people are living here) but I explained to her that there is demand, just no supply.

A little about me since I am new, I moved to OKC 14 months ago from Chicago (well the suburbs) and I absolutely am in love with OKC.
