Around the same time frame on the 25th Scott was saying we're due to have a major ICE storm. :-O But then again, it is still way to far out with the GFS.

I have experienced -45 in the Canadian Rockies and it is VERY cold. It is fun to take a container of boiling water outside and throw the contents up in the air and watch it freeze before it hits the ground. Very impressive.

Yes here in northern Wisconsin we've seen -40 at least 5 times this year so far. In my opinion anything below -30 is all the same... miserable.

So in 2011 70 degree weather now means snow the next day, ok

Can we just have a S.W.A.T. team available on the highways, waiting for the idiots who throw lit cigarettes out of their car into the dry grass? I want to beat those people.

Any thoughts from anyone on this weekends weather? I'm planning on some outdoor recreation for Sunday, and I'm wanting some picnic weather.

I wouldn't mind seeing that chance of isolated thunderstorms!

Once the evening model run comes in, I'll post a new update. Things have been quiet for too long (for Oklahoma), so something new is bound to be coming. :-P

Here, here. Much better this than more snow. I've had my fill of snow for awhile.

Gary England had a graphic on tonight predicting 46-52 tornadoes in oklahoma for the year

So here is what the evening models have put together going forward. Keep in mind this is about as accurate as AccuWeather (LOL - ugh I wish they'd go away)...so have your salt ready for throwing.

Sat 2/20 - Possibly some scattered sprinkles/showers around...otherwise more humid. Temps in the 60s. Some storms possible far west.
Sun 2/21 - Isolated storms around, nothing major. Temps in the mid 60s.
Mon 2/22 - Light rain, mainly NC and NE OK. May mix with a bit of snow. Temps from mid 30s north to near 50 south.
    Tue 2/23 - Dry. Temps 40s and 50s.
Wed 2/24 - Dry. Temps 50s east to low 60s west.
Thu 2/25 - Showers and Storms. Temps around 60.
Fri 2/26 - Mostly dry. Some sprinkles/flurries NW and an isolated storm far South/SE. Temps upper 30s NW to mid 60s south.
Sat 2/27 - Dry west, wet eastern half...maybe some flurries NW. Mostly rain east but some mix far NE. Temps mid 20s NW to mid 50s far SE.
Sun 2/28 - Light snow NW, dry elsewhere. Temps near 30 NW to around 40 SE.
Mon 3/1 - Dry. Temps mainly in the 30s.
Tue 3/2 - Some sprinkles Central and South, Light Snow/Mix north. Temps upper 30s far north to low 50s SW.
Wed 3/3 - Dry. Temps upper 30s north to upper 40s south.
Thu 3/4 - Light rain West, may mix some some snow near KS border. Temps near 40 NE to mid 50s SW.
Fri 3/5 - Scattered showers, maybe a storm south. Temps low 40s north to around 60 SW.
Sat 3/6 - Always a wacky period for the GFS to forecast since it is so far out. Light rain SE. Rain/Snow mix remainder of eastern OK. Snow central and western OK. Temps Low 40s SE, mid 30s elsewhere except low 30s from OKC to SW OK.

Again, take it as you will. Once we see a firmer transition to spring weather, I'll get the spring thread going with the severe weather resources posted in the initial post as usual.

Okay, buddy, you're gonna have to cover that tornado predictions! Is what Gary predicted below, average, or above for our typical tornado season?
