It wasn't MacGruber that proposed the idea of a webcam in his Chase Tower office, it was another poster.
And we are still working on it and expect it to happen in the near future; that vantage point would be higher than shown above.
Those are awesome sketches architect!! Thanks for sharing them.
Flew in last night, on the drive home imagined the view with the finished tower......WOW! cant wait...

I think I have that same (or definitely similar) camera and L O V E it. Have fun with your new toy.
Devon should top Chase around the time I do the February video update.
I have been trying to calculate, just like others, the height of the tower at this point by multiplying the number of floors, etc. One thing caught my attention is that we know that the level heights are around 20 and 15 ft. But what about the concrete between the floors and ceiling. it has to be 3-5 ft thick, and is that included in the floor height that is already given?
holm, the thickness of the floor/ceiling is definitely included in the height of each level.
On a completely different topic, I received more details about the lighting for Devon Tower.
I was able to confirm the LED lighting will be only in the three "indentions" and the crown. I was told that they could have easily (from a construction standpoint) added the same to the entire building, but it was very expensive. But originally, Devon was only going to have white lights in the indentions then decided to add color as well, and there will be virtually an unlimited amount of colors and programming effects for the sides and crown of the building.
They will be doing a test of floors 10+ in a couple of weeks and hopefully we'll know the exact dates soon.
And I was also told that the current and future tests are only run on about 50% power and that when they go full-bore, all that lighting will be incredibly bright.

I think it will look better with lighting only in the crown and "indentions".

Since we are in a blizzard I thought I would give you the sunrise from atop the Devon tower.
I was told this is from the top of the 30th floor.
Awesome pic!
thanks for the great pic!
We need a pic like that today with all the snow on the ground!
Looks like she survived. I was probably the only one on here who happened to drive past it on I-40 after a total waste of effort getting to work for a futile hour of trying to move cars out of the garage at Will Rogers. It was definitely a unique view through the blowing snow and the glitter of the interior lights as you pass.
Why were you trying to move cars out of the garage at WRWA?
Here is one from the last snow we had.
Cityplex in Tulsa mentioned a few posts ago...I remember as a kid hearing about Oral Roberts' "vision" for a 777 foot tower with 77 stories to be constructed at 7777 South Lewis. Didn't quite make it but still an impressive structure. Pretty sure my mom sent him a check back then.
^^ Very nice! This really shows how tall Tulsa really is compared to OKC!And of course shows what The Devon Tower will soon pass!
