One thing I forgot to mention, I would bet you were thinking of Brenda Fox, a classmate and good friend of Judy's.

Not exactly correct on how that happened, papaOU. Please see this article by Steve:

I knew I never remembered the street actually being called Sheraton so I researched it a little.
well, I had to buy a new computer and for some unknown reason my password wouldn't work. Oh well, looks like there are a bunch of "Newbies" .....wait a minute....that I guess includes me too.....However, I do remember the name change on Sheridan and it was in about 1962 or 61 that that came about. I just thought someone didn't know what they were spelling...
Hey Soonergirl and other Southeast people...Jerry Blackburn passed away last week.....you probably already knew but, he was a friend of mine also....even though he went to Southeast Grammar School....
Just curious, does the name Generals64 mean U. S. Grant, class of 64?

OK, I know it was probably a stupid question. I plan on going to Coit's Saturday and although it will be nice to see all of you, I'm particularly interested in CarltonsKeeper since he knows me very well and for the life of me, I can't figure out who he/she is. I did know a Benson family but I'm just not sure. USG'60 and I have figured out that we do know each other (slightly) and hopefully he will be there. It will be good to meet all of you.

Catching up here......CT? Reding's are my kin. Me and my Mom went there to see the house right before they tore it down. Beautiful architecture and woodwork all throughout the house. As far as I know, nothing was salvaged. Such a shame. My family? Just poor relations.'
Trying to get a ride to Coit's Saturday, my old PT has bitten the dust.
rowdy
And what a great wrap around porch, great for sitting outside in the evening. Of course, I was a youngster then and that didn't interest me. We called Mr. Reding "Old Man Reding" because he was kinda grouchy. I don't suppose that had anything to do with the fact that we rode his goats (that really got his goat), played in the hay bales in his barn, rode his horses without his permission, and did lot's of things at his pond, not to mention running roughshod over the pasture from 36th to 44th, and Douglas to Western. Actually, when I was growing up, it stretched a little farther, West of Douglas and South of 41st. Now, why would that make him grouchy?. Mrs. Reding was always a nice lady and knew we were just kids playing. I think she was happy as long as we didn't hurt anything or ourselves. Were you close to JoAnn(sp)?

I just noticed that papaOU says Coit's is at 3pm. Is there any
truth to this? It's been 1pm for about 2 years.
Yesterday I read in the paper that Bishop McGiness is having a 50
year reunion for the graduation class of 60. Pennyquilts will
probably be jumping at that one. Grant is having one, too. There's
nothing about Capitol Hill. Probably because there has to be a
graduating class in order to have one.
It's a rule invented by the original four, of which I am a member.
Unfortunately, no newbie has ever shown up with money and
Gen64 ends up buying for everyone.
The meeting is at 3pm! There was a reservation mix up.
papaOU didn't make the reservation with a gun. The other
group did.
So, are hot dogs still .20? And if we all lie about our age, we can all be served the tiny little mug of root beer for free, then I think I can afford to buy. I just checked, I have almost five bucks, cash money in my pocket. Actually, I'm going to have a slight problem coming at 3:00, I have plans for 5:00 but I hope to at least stop by for a beer (root of course). I'm new to the group and didn't know about the Coit get-together, but next time, I will just keep the afternoon open so if a time change happens, I will still be able to come.

Did you know JoAnn, Sherri, Gene Ferguson or "Daddy Bob" (Gene & Sherri's dad)? They call Sherri "Fergy" now and I believe she works at the Stock Yards and lives over on about S.E. 40th east of I-35.. Did you know Lawrence Reding or Ruthy? I kind of knew the family... Gene I think is living in Shawnee, he married Rhonda Morozoff!! I guess it's been over a year since JoAnn passed away.. Lawrence I believe was living at Lake Texoma when he died..
