The other thought that crossed my mind is that they will leave the interior visible. Some of the building in NYC have this 'feature'. Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't the Murrah building kind of like that. I seem to remember being able to see in the windows on the north side, espcially when the interior lights were on and it was dark out.

The glass is not the typical reflective glass you see on buildings from the 70's and 80's, i.e. Leadership Square and Oklahoma Tower.

It's more translucent and meant to keep light/heat out but still allow to see in and let light out. It will be pretty reflective when the sun is shining directly on it but not so much so when it isn't.

I'm sure the idea is to present a building that has more depth and texture rather than just a monolithic mirror.

They have a wire hanging out of every window

There is alot of bright lights inside and the glas have a wire hanging out maybe for some type of polarizing effect or for automatic motorized blinds

Right now we can see inside the building at night because there are very bright lights on the inside. But when the building is finished and the exterior LED lights are working, the LED lights will reflect off the windows (kinda of what the sun does during the daytime), therefore preventing us from being able to see the inside.

It must be too windy. Looks like they have everything set and ready to go up but they're not doing anything so far today.

Spent a lot of time Downtown tonight. The tower looked incredible as the sun was going down.

Does anyone know what has happened to the OKC Skyline cam? The camera is still working but appears to be turned around backwards?

The crane is being raised now (certain, as I saw pieces going in).

I think the workers largely had the Thanksgiving weekend off but are now back at it, 24/7.

    Maybe an "accident" happened.

Good point, jn1780. It is back up in the right direction and seems a bit higher and looking more westerly.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but the latest Google Earth 6 is out and I noticed that they have a 3D Devon Tower visible in OKC now. Doesn't appear to have the rotunda, garden wing or other structures. It appears to be scale, not sure if it is at the original 950 feet or not. But, it is what you would call noticeable against the skyline! It's kind of neat to be able to spin the view around and see what the tower would look like from different vantage points.

    Original height was like 927ft.

Yes, I believe you are correct; they lowered the height by around 75 feet didn't they? Down to 850. Wish the Google Earth model had more fidelity to it, plus having the surrounding structures would have been pretty nice to see.

925'ft tall/282 meters and 54 floors were the original plans! Not 927 or 950!It's as easy as looking at earlier pages in this exact same thread!

^^I just noticed there is NO FNC tower on Google Earth!

Yea, I just noticed that too. I'm pretty sure it used to be there on previous versions. Also, the more I looked at the Devon Tower model, the more I think the scale is off way more than I thought. It seems too tall and too skinny. It's diameter doesn't match the construction footprint well.

FNC has never been in 3D on Google Earth. BTW, you know you can right click on the 3D building and turn them off. It is kind of neat to see how places would look if just one or two buildings were gone. Try it around the Sandridge Campus to get an idea of how barren that part of downtown is going to become.
