There is a little over 3 minutes left in the game and the score is 96-90, not in favor of the Hornets.Originally Posted by Karried

Bummer!
We lost an exciting game to a very good Dallas Team 109-103
The best part of the evening is when the Pastor doing the invocation asked God to "allow our Hornets to sting these Stallions from the South" of course everyone cracks up and AMEN it was great.
LOL! Nothing racial by this, but was he a black pastor? That sounds like something an older black pastor would say.Originally Posted by upisgr8

No, a white Preacher introduced as the Pastor from Emanuel Baptist Church
Older guy?
No I would say mid 40s, He started by praying for the citizens in New Orleans, Our Soldiers, Police ect. Nice Prayer. Then he closed with "Sting the Stallions from the South" I wish I could remember exactly how he put it. Everyone enjoyed it, the Dallas guys cracked up. The Hornets are the only NBA team that has an opening invocation.
See, if only I was there we might have won - I lose my voice at every game - that must mean something!
Boo hoo, hoo, hoo - why oh why didn't I buy season tickets??
Thanks for the links and the score - I ended up listening to it on the radio - I have to say it just wasn't the same!

I thought that was odd. Did they do that in NO?The Hornets are the only NBA team that has an opening invocation.
