Done.
And done.
Who has seen the best parking meter in another city? I hate the ones that detect the overdue car and send the wireless signal to the meter maid to come back a write a ticket. It's almost evil.
What's even worse is if you put money in someone-else's meter to save them from getting a ticket, then you get a ticket instead!
Probably the thing I despise the most about meter maids is that they don't observe the "month" grace period on car tags. I get my tags at the Downtown Tag Agency and have been ticketed while inside buying the actual tags! And that's $50.
Yep - try being a good samaritan and feed someone else's meter within sight of a meter maid and you'll most likely get a ticket. I still do it from time to time when I'm downtown, but we have some pretty power hungry meter maids who'd love to write tickets.
You're also not supposed to be able to park at a meter in OKC for longer than the longest allowable period of time (1-2 hours depending on the meter). However, unless they start put chalk marks on your tires they really can't enforce that once.
