I love that show! David Cross is brilliant.
Anyone go to the extra casting a couple of weeks ago? I'm curious if/when they'll need extras.
Now on demand and the previews look pretty damn good...anyone seen it yet?
I saw it on DirecTV PPV recently. My interest in watching it were Jessica Alba, Kate Hudson and the fact they filmed in Oklahoma. The movie revolves around Casey Affleck's character and he mumbles the whole movie about as much as Marlon Brando did in the Godfather. The (brutal) violence in the movie against the women seemed to be out of the blue and without any (from a killers point of view) obvious motivation. The ending was kind of hokey too though by that point, the killer had obviously flipped out totally and was hallucinating.
Plusses: Alba looked damn good and though she didn't do nudity, she rolled around in bed with Affleck quite a bit. Simon Baker did a good acting job in a supporting role. There was also great cinematography.
Minuses: Affleck was just too low key and monotone in his delivery so I never bought into his character. Rather sadistic violence in 2 different scenes against women.
It's playing in 14 different theaters now in its 2nd week of limited release. I'm hoping they will add it to Oklahoma before it goes to DVD. Though I was negative in my review, I want to see it again, this time on a big screen.
This is going to be playing in Tulsa for 1 week starting on August 20th. It'll be out on DVD/BluRay in late September.
We watched it on Pay Per View the other night. I enjoyed picking out the scenes that I knew where they were filmed. I recognized Cattleman's and Guthrie, and a few other places. The movie wasn't bad just kinda disturbing. I always love Kate Hudson. I thought Simon Baker and Jessica Alba played their parts well. Casey Affleck played a very disturbing character. I'm glad I got to see it, but not sure if I need to see it again. Another movie being made in Oklahoma was Heaven's Rain. I'm looking forward to seeing it.
This is playing at the Circle Cinema in Tulsa this week, apparently for only 1 week. It doesn't appear it will hit the OKC theaters. I wanted to see it on a big screen though I already saw it on PPV at home.
Anyone remember a movie that was filmed a few years ago in Oklahoma City with Andy Garcia? It was supposed to be a CIA type thriller. I saw them film a couple of scenes at Penn Square Mall. Was the movie ever released? I do not remember the name of the movie. I have never seen it in the video stores or read anything about its release.
Bigray in Ok

I just noticed in today's Daily Oklahoman that 'The Killer Inside Me' did open in OKC today! It's playing only at the 'Starplex Crossroads Movies 8' at 7400 Pole Road in OKC.
After seeing it earlier on PPV on a 26" home (standard) TV, I went and saw it again today at the discount theatre near Crossroads. I could actually understand everything Affleck was saying this time plus follow the plot better. Affleck's character was definitely demented but at least I could see the (twisted) logic behind his murderous (and wrong) actions.
Having a fairly large audience to watch it with, it was interesting to hear some of the reactions by some of the crowd. It didn't sound like they were aware before time of just how brutal the violence was going to be. I won't call it a great movie but it was intriguing.
It's only $2 at that theater for all showtimes and all movies ($1 on Tuesdays) but go see it during the day is my advice. LOL
