Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!It was AWESOME!!!!! I can't believe it - I have a headache from screaming so loud and no voice but I wouldn't trade this evening for anything. It was so cool!
We only had 4/10ths of a second left on the clock and we won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fans were insane - everyone around me was dancing around and screaming ( well maybe that's because we were on the Club level where they served alchol ha,ha) Anyway, it was so fun!

I was able to attend this game with a friend of mine who had tickets via his wife's employer (Devon Energy).
We had great seats (section 222) and an awesome view! I was very pleased to see a nearly packed crowd. The second half was truly awesome as the Hornets came back from 22 points in the second quarter to take the lead in the 3rd.
I truly hope that OKC shows this same support towards the end of year. The Hornets played great in the 2nd half, but less than stellar in the 1st. They have some very promising young talent, and Mason just may be the catalyst they need.
The timer buzzed on me for editing the original post with all this stuff, so here's a replay, and more:

... edited/updated with the pics and some info ... these all may not be in proper sequence, but who cares!!!
Attendance: 15,063
Down by 14 at the half, we win by a point! Here's some detail ... the following pics were taken from Section 206, Row E ...
The Game Is About To Begin and the Hornets Huddle ...
In the 1st quarter, score 13-15 ... it will get worse ...
Rebounding in the 1st half ...
1st half, we're down 28-47 ... but we get better before halftime ...
2nd half, where we close it to 61-65 ...
... and then 64-66 ...
... and then, later, it's 86-86 ...
... and then with 0.4 seconds, it's 89-88 ...
... and a time-out occurs ... yummy!
... and we WIN ... final score, 0.0 minutes ...
Early on, the fans were sitting ...
... but by the end of the 3rd quarter and through most of the 4th, to the end, they were standing!
What a game! And What HoneyBees!!! Mmm....
... but, then, that's just interesting from an old geezer's point of view, isn't it???
And, where did these fine things happen? Right here in Oklahoma City!
YEA OKLAHOMA CITY/NEW ORLEANS HORNETS (it was our court, so I reversed the officially designated cities)!!!

You should have seen the 1st pre-season game ... the Hornets played much better in ALL quarters than they did in that game, where they came up slightly short. This game was substantially better, all the way around. Sure, the 1st quarter in this game was not remarkable, unless you compare it with the 1st half they played in the 1st Okc pre-season game ... and if you do, there's no comparison.Originally Posted by Intrepid
M' dear, please let me inform you that a full-service (as it appeared, at least) liquor facility was available for us lower eschelon folks on the 2nd level, as well. I didn't have any ... as I'd had several before I got my scalper ticket which was very nice, I might say, so I just had a beer after I got to the premises. I'm not always so judicious. But, there you are.Originally Posted by Karried
Great pics, Doug.
I'd have some pics too, but my camera is having some issues. I'll get some from Opening Night, for sure.
During timeouts when the HoneyBees are on the floor, you should see how fast every guy with a camera whips it out. (...bad choice of words, I know, but you know what I mean )
I know what you mean, and I was one! But, to confirm your astute observations, I did notice, when I was taking my pics of those glorious H'bees, (and doubtless done in secret from the perceptions of the feminine elements of the grand audience so that that "element" wouldn't be aware) that a whole ****load of camera flashes seemed to be surrounding what I was doing ever so privately! :boff: Yeah, right.Originally Posted by John
I'm not able go to the 11/1 game, and so I'll very much appreciate seeing the pics you post! Damn ... I surely wish that I could go ... that game will be a keeper!
Doug, you can go. I just bought 2 tickets online about 30 minutes ago.
Nevermind, I just now remembered reading that you and the wifey have a conflicting engagement.
I wish that ticket availabilty was my probem ... but that's not the case. I've got a conflicting engarement with my lovely wife at the ground breaking of the Native American Cultural center just down the way at which I am a required person-in-attendance, if you you get my drift. VERY Nice, John. Good job.
Doug, so will I, I'm doing the VIP tent. The event is over at 6pm so you should be able to still make it to the game. Well well well! I'll check with my wife and see if she has plans after the event ... maybe I'll get to go, after all ...Originally Posted by metro

Doug - you can make it! Even if you are late, there are a few upper tickets in the corner for 10 bucks and I think there are still some center uppers for 50 bucks, I'm still waiting for my tickets to come in the mail so I can exchange them with a buyer. I was sitting in Section 212 last night - they were good seats, I got to see everything.
That was such an exciting game.
I am thrilled about this - I got two lowers tickets on ebay through Buy it Now for 75 bucks total - I am Jazzed!! Section 101 for Opening Night... yippee! ( the seller told me he bought a package and only really wanted to go to a few games so he put them on ebay - I couldn't believe I got them for less than face value! )
Now if this guy doesn't come through and buy the other four - yikes!

Here's a slideshow gallery of the Hornets vs. the Rockets. The pics are high resolution stock photos. They're generic and not as personable as Dougs collections, but they're cool. Follow the link.
