Thread: Armstrong Auditorium to make debut!

Default Armstrong Auditorium to make debut!

An exciting new cultural center is opening up in Edmond and will be making it's debut on September 5. It is complete with Imported Austrian Crystal, imported tile from Spain and superb acoustics! A new cultural gem for Edmond! Price tag $20 million.

I find it interesting that they seem to flaunt the center's luxurious materials and finishes rather than the purpose of the center and foundation.

Armstrong was never the humble sort, why should these people be. It all makes me wanna gag .....the pretense, the posturing and the duplicity of it all.

Edmond is a world class city!

I think you all would get a kick out of where this building is located...

It's in Logan County, not Edmond.

I live just a few miles from there and had never heard of it or the college until yesterday. Seems a little odd.

They have what (?) 60 students. I don't think tuition is paying for it.

It's the Philadelphia Assembly of God. I had a customer who was a student there and is currently on staff there. Interesting to say the least when you're driving down Waterloo Road and you see this huge building in the middle of nowhere, lol.

I'm not trying to change this into a religious thread but it's actually called the Philadelphia Church of God. I'm not nitpicking but it's a little different. While I wouldn't classify it as a cult, it is certainly not a mainstream religious group. I have to wonder what their motivation was for building this auditorium.

It is in Edmond, and it is in Logan County.

Edmond does not extend into Logan County, though it may have an Edmond postal address - see here: http://edmondok.com/service/map

Edmond has all the amenities of a city but without the crime.

Actually, it's in North Edmond and it's in Logan County. This will not only bring people to the Edmond area, but this will truely be a Gem in the OKC area. I've been to 3 concerts when they had it in the John Amos Field House and it's very delightful! Can't wait to attend a concert in this hall! And the people are very nice and refreshing

Actually, it does. I lived in the housing addition to the north of the "campus". Edmond, Logan County. Edmond Schools.

Edmond postal address and Edmond Schools does not equal Edmond City limits...are you saying that the city put an incorrect map on their site? Edmond Schools and postal addresses extend well past the city limits.

Seems kind of dumb for an area to have an address of one city, but be in another.

Try living in an area of far West OKC where you are in the OKC city limits, Mustang school district, and have a Yukon address.

I work in Warr Acres but we use the address as OKC. It works either way.
