Me and my lady are going. It's her favorite Nashville country band.
Never been to a show, but their telly performances indicate they give a good show to their fans. Only country show I'm mulling over so far is in the fall, when Sugarland and Little Big Town come to the zoo amp. Rather fond of both acts.
I saw Rascal Flatts at the Ford Center. They offered no big screen monitors for upper seats or even the boxes. Very hard to see and enjoy, but musically it was awesome. At one time or another each of the 3 had a "solo" set with a few songs so the others can rest, I guess. Great show except for lack of screens!
We saw them last summer at Buffalo Run Casino. They had 2 large screen monitors there. The concert was outside so maybe it was a venue problem with their stage set-up.
I have seen them 8 times, and they are great in concert. I do agree, the screens make the concert better for those not right up in front. I was at the Buffalo Run concert. Great show but it was so muddy. I'm hoping they will add OKC to the second leg of the tour. I'm already going up to Tulsa for two other shows. I get tired of having to go to Tulsa for concerts. Except for the Zoo, the big concerts seem to be missing OKC these days opting for the BOK.
Okay SoonerQueen, I have to ask - Are you in the fan club? I'm also a Rascal Flatts concert junkie and most people think I'm insane for having seen them more than a handful of times. So when I saw you've seen them 8 times, it just made me go "She has to be in the fan club"
Yes Erin, i recognized your name. I am a proud member of the "Fam" and have to have my yearly RF fix if not more often. I hope they add OKC on the second leg of the tour this time. We are having family visit and can't go in July. I'm happy to share this board with you. Rascal Flatts are awesome and so is OKCTalk.
Less than a week to go, who's excited?
I'm less excited now that the person I was supposed to go with can no longer go, and I may have to go by myself if I can't find someone else. But, still excited.
I just couldn't not go see them, so I'll be there in Tulsa Friday night. I got great seats and I can't wait.
I dont like the leads live voice. I love to hear them on the radio but he always sounds way too nasally live imo.
I just read an article about Gary LeVox in the Feb edition of Guideposts. I have loved this group since day 1, but the article made me appreciate Gary for more than just a singer. He's an amazing man.
Wheee, awesome concert!!!
I have a terrible memory and I'm trying to remember all the songs that were sung - can you guys help?
Here's what I can remember for sure:
Praying for Daylight
Summer Nights
Mayberry
..... see? I told you I have a terrible memory.
I can't say enough how much I enjoyed the concert. Chris Young was great. Kellie Pickler sings kinda like a young Dolly Parton. Rascal Flatts however were amazing. I loved the new design of the show, and the fact that they sang a lot of their older songs, and one from the new unreleased cd. They all seemed to be having fun, but Gary was especially into the crowd and he was at his best. I am so glad I went. I think this was one of their best shows, but I say that every time I see them. I am hoping they will add Oklahoma City to their tour list, so that I won't have to drive so far next time.
Bostonfan, I'm a political conservative, but that doesn't mean I can't get out and have fun. I don't think the government has the right to spend my money, but that doesn't mean I can't do what I want with my own money. If I chose to go see concerts with my money, it's no ones business but mine.

If you weren't in Tulsa Friday night, this is what you missed.
Hypocrite. You talk about being responsible while you spend money on seeing the same group in concert 9 times! Brilliant!
But you're right, it's your business. But guess what? You just wrote on a message board where this was the 9th time you've paid money to watch this group. So if it's your business, and you want to keep it your business, then you might want to keep it your business.
