Finally, back to some recent burger discussion. The last few posts were venturing dangerously-close to "Nostalgia & Memories" territory.

Ya I love Irma's Burgers as well! Their Firestarter Burger is amazing!

Also, people might be surprised to hear that Anne's Chicken Fry House has an OUTSTANDING burger! People usually go there for the Chicken Fried Steak and overlook the burgers.. They are amazing!

I ate at the one in Tulsa, but was very dissapointed. I love a really good Bacon Cheeseburger. So I ordered their half pound bacon cheeseburger and patiently waited for my treat. But when I went to pick it up, I see this huge chunk of meat on a very nice bun, but only one slice of cheese and two strips of bacon that were so thin you could read through them. On a burger that size, I expected plenty of cheese and thick cut bacon.

I'm thinking you would become a fan of Earl's cheddar burger. Order it with bacon and you've got a winner.

I had lunch today at the J&W Grill in Chickasha, I've mentioned this place before, if you haven't been, it's a must the next time your anywhere close. It's just W. of the Court House.

Double meat, double cheese, fried onions, buttered & grilled bun, yum yum

I think their burger is much better than their BBQ.

I tried Bricktown Burgers on Wednesday and was very impressed! I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger was impressed by the amount of the bacon and cheese on the burger. The only slight negative were the fries. I thought the regular order could have been a little bigger to accompany the quality of the burger.

    Greetings!
Would anyone in this Split-T thread happen to know what year the Split-T Bar and Grill was established? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm looking. I know it was open in November of 1953. If you
can find when the Sooner's began using the Split T offense
    we could narrow it down.

I grew up in Chickasha...J&W is a staple.

Double Meat, Double cheese, fried onions, a dollop of slaw, 1/2 order of fries, and a chocolate shake. That's a meal that's worth the 9,000 calories.

Ah, yes, I love Burger King. But Wendy's ought to be on there at no. 2. Both better than the overrated Eskimo Joe's.

Is Bricktown Burgers closed for good? I tried to stop there the other day (around 3 p.m.) and it was closed.

    They had a good burger.

Two of my favorites is the place in Nichols Hill Drug and at the cafe at Rose State.

I think Bricktown Burgers closes around 2:00-2:30. They are only open about 11:00-2:00.

School? In the summer? What class did you fail? Are they holding
    your transcript for ransom?

    That's too bad.

The next time I'm in Ardmore I'll buy two and mail you one. Unless the're so good
I eat both of them. In that case I'll send you a report.
