'YA'LL' is more or less regional, mainly in the southern U.S. You may hear it occasionally in other parts of the country, but it's roots are in the south. I think it's actually taught in grammar school in Texas (kidding).

I am not sure about 'office' as a verb, but I have only heard it in Oklahoma.

Y'all = you all (southern area of US)
You Guys = You guys (mid west and northern US)
Useguys = You Guys (certain parts of northeast US)
    Duuuuuuuude = ??? (I don't speak Surfer)

Yeah, and actually "yall" is slang and/or a contraction for "you all." Great stuff you are doing, Sam.

Don't forget "Yute" (Pronounced Yoot) Means a "youth" or a kid/young person.

I.E. the movie My Cousin Vinny, "Two yutes"

    You all, not You.

Ya'll okies! (right?) Are any of your friends Russian?
And Steve, i know you want to write sory about me. Where? In the newspaper or online? If newspaper, I'll buy 10 copies.

Sam, I'll have the story out sometime next week. I'll send you an email on the run date. And if you email me your address, I'll be happy to mail you a couple of free copies of the newspaper.

I have a friend who has some Russian in her. Not very much. I think Svetlana (spelling?) and Moscow are the only words she knows.

My friend's wife is Russian and the lady that lives next door to me is Russian (but I don't see her very much).

Nyet. I doubt there are too many people of Russian descent in Oklahoma that I am aware of. There are quite a few in Denver.

Actually, I knew quite a few here in Tulsa. Many of them came to TU and ended up staying here. It isn't a huge population by any strech of the imagination, but (anecdotally) more than in years past.

There's quite a few Russians in Oklahoma City and Norman. There is actually a fairly good sized Russian run property management company. Their profile building is the Physicians & Surgeons building just behind St. Anthony's Hospital DT. I also do business with some Russians out of San Fran, that come here on occasion. There are also lots of foreign exchange students to OKC every year from former USSR countries, many of which stay in U.S. and/or go to UCO.

I've actually recently became very interested in the Russian heritage and culture that exists in the Pacific Northwest and I've been studying Russian language for a few years. Very interested in the city planning and architecture of Saint Petersburg, the historic center of which certainly seems to be one of the best planned places in the world with its broad boulevards, huge amounts of traffic, meandering canals, height limits, and baroque architecture.

Isn't there a Russian Orthodox church out in the boonies of eastern Oklahoma County? I've forgotten its name, and it may not be Russian, but it's there somewhere ... very small.

OK, but you do understand that YOU is also plural, right? YOU ALL is unnecessary as well, and is just an elongated way to say YOU. The fact that Y'ALL is a contraction for YOU ALL doesn't change the fact that it all actually makes the phrasing longer than needed.

Instead of flying someone to Russia we can chip in and fly Russian Sam to OKC so he can meet everyone and see the buildings first hand. I bet a few of us would let him bunk at there homes.
