Looks like he got waived from the Philly 76'ers. I know we're doing great on our own, but with KD and another big name like A.I. would OKC be interested in him as a backup, just for the PR purposes?

He wasnt waived he left the team for the rest of the season because of a family illness
I dont want him on the Thunder anyway why mess up a good thing
no way. we do not want allen iverson. yes he is a big name (mostly of the past), but he isn't the kind of player OKC needs or wants. he isn't a team guy. he is very selfish. and he can't score like he used to.
Someone's wearing their Bad Idea jeans today!
H@@@ No!
If the Thunder signs a heavy hitter, I want Chris Paul to come back home.
The Answer is old and banged-up and tired, and did I mention old?
No reason for him to be here, even at a bargain price.
no, no, no, no, no, no, no and no. He brings a different attitude and a different element into the game. He has mellowed over the years but the Thunder does not need what else he brings which is a self-centered, no care attitude. I had to watch him in Denver for a couple of years and the moment they traded him for Chauncey Billups, the Nuggets improved 25%.
Not just NO!!! HELLLLLL NOOOOO!
That's all i'm leaving it at..
I don't think anyone has said this yet, so here goes: NO.
Oh, I dunno.
A self-centered no care attitude kind of guy might have certain appeal to a not insignificant segment of the population.
i cant believe that i am agreeing with everyone but NO. Last year I may have thought about it but the way westbrook and maynard are developing as point guards, iverson is the last thing we would need or want.
YES!!! I mean....YES I agree with everyone that says NO! heh
I don't think Iverson would add anything to the Thunder and I think he would change the team unity so badly that he's just not a good fit for here.....now Lebron...he's a different story.
One of the things I like about the Thunder is that we're watching these incredibly talented players mature and develop into the stars they will become. I believe it's only a matter of time before we become the next LA Lakers in terms of dominance. Assuming everyone stays healthy, I don't see any barriers to this happening.....except perhaps salary caps and our inability to afford these guys once their contracts are up.
Good points and I agree.
Is it unanimous?
seems to be. i almost thought metro might think it a good idea when he started the thread, but he agrees as well. unanimous it is. so far.
NO!!!
Don't want any part of that jerk.
The best PR the Thunder could ask for is the season their having. Way better than expected. We were the talk of the All-Star broadcasts. We don't need downers like A.I.
sounds like AI is really having problems. they are saying he is struggling with alcohol and gambling demons. already banned from casinos in detroit and atlantic city i believe. his wife, with whom he has 5 kids and been with since highschool filed for divorce. or atleast thats what was reported as of yesterday.
hope he gets it all sorted out.
Six years ago this was the player that I most wanted to watch play before he retired. As a short person, I always admired how he played the game all out. At that time I never dreamed I would be attending 40 or so home games a year and have a chance to see every player in the league play at least once every year. That being said, his career is over and I feel bad for him even though he brought most of his trouble upon himself. I hope he can get his life back together.
