...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS
EVENING...
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS
EVENING.
* TIMING: SCATTERED AREAS OF RAIN AND WET SNOW WILL MOVE ACROSS
THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON. THE PRECIPITATION SHOULD BE ENDING
DURING THE EARLY EVENING HOURS.
* MAIN IMPACT: SCATTERED ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO ONE INCH OF WET
SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE ALONG WITH ISOLATED HIGHER TOTALS NEAR 2
INCHES. WITH TEMPERATURES HOLDING NEAR OR A FEW DEGREES ABOVE
FREEZING UNTIL EARLY EVENING... THE HEAVIER SNOW ACCUMULATIONS
COULD MAKE A FEW ROADWAYS SLUSHY AND SLICK.
* OTHER IMPACTS: A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL BRING IN MUCH COLDER AIR TONIGHT
ALONG WITH GUSTY NORTH WINDS. WIND CHILLS WILL FALL INTO THE
SINGLE DIGITS IN MANY AREAS. THE COLD TEMPERATURES WILL CAUSE
ANY REMAINING WATER AND SLUSH ON ROADWAYS TO FREEZE OVERNIGHT.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW COULD CAUSE
TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED
VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
