I cant wait!
I cant wait!
I'd like to do that this year, but I may be on Poppa duty so the younger gen can go enjoy life that eve. Of course, being home on Poppa duty ain't exactly a punishment, not when it means the world's most excellent grandchild and her parents are on the proper side of the ocean.
I'll be there for sure. I was the second person in line at the box office when the tickets went on sale.
I'm suprised more people haven't commented on this.
I'm almost afraid that we've lost our appreciation of our very own internationally acclaimed rock band playing here annually on New Years Eve.
This is a pretty special event. I found out over at the forum on the Flaming Lips website(New Years Eve Freakout 2009/2010 | The Flaming Lips), someone is flying from Australia for this! Not to mention the different states..
The new album is surprisingly very good--way better than At War With The Mystics.
My stepbrothers are coming from Portland and San Diego for the holidays to visit their dad and have both said they are going.
Well since they've got a new album out at least the set list will have to change.
I will be there. Missed out on floor tickets though. dangit.
30 days and counting...
And check this out, on the poster, they're saying they will play Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon at midnight!
I'm excited to hear how they spin Darkside. I'm honestly more excited to see locals The Non and The Uglysuit, also at the Cox Center.
I'm going! And, yeah, Embryonic is brilliant! Can't wait!
I may go as well…..sounds like a good time for New Year’s. I bet parking is a nightmare though.
I am in line. The Lips are soundchecking as I write. Everyone is preparing to freak out. Happy New Year.
Anyone else's jaw drop at Drozd's rendition of the female vocal solo on "The Great Gig in the Sky???" Also, The Non put on a hell of a performance in one of the exhibit rooms, as did The Uglysuit although I left halfway through their later set to catch the Lips. Anyone else catch those guys?
