Very nice to put some faces to names and thanks for letting me be an honorary southsider!
Pardon my being so late. It's hard to get to the get together before 2:40pm.
We have to wait for the leader to count the money then it's a 20 drive until
the Pennsylvania Avenue bridge is completed. If I try to take a short cut then
it's only 25-30 minutes.
Hey Gen64, Prunette did not like the gift from Elsie. She opened it without
any notice. OY!
Hey..Wad ya'll do with Gen64? Haven't seen em in here in awhile.
I heard that PQ was there but I missed her by a few minutes. I'm blaming
Gen64! Did anyone talk about me? Don't answer that! Really, did anyone
talk about me? What did Gen64 and Frisky say? I don't want to know.
I was out of it because of a cold and barely remember being there.
kevinpate - Thanks for helping me get a picture on here. I was slow, so by the time I finally found my picture, I was shut down and had to log on and start over. Other than that, thank you for your help. I also had a hard time finding time to do it around the holidays.
Since there are 5 Saturdays in January, do we want to have our next meeting on the 16th or 23rd? Either is good for me.
The 16th sounds good for me....anyone else????Has anyone talked to Soonergirl....she's driving me crazy worrying about her....Prunepicker????PapaOU???? I'm too old to be worrying like this....
I'll call and book for the 16th!
The 16th is on my calendar. I am bringing pictures for Gen64 and I hope the Village Idiot brings his Roosevelt memorabilia.
Have a special request. An alum from the CHHS class of 1973 is needing help. His name is John Parker and was an OKC Police Officer I am not sure of the years other than 1980. I know this because my grandfather died at home that year and having not been to a doctor for years the police responded first and John was that officer. He later was involved in a horrible traffic accident and literally was left for dead. Though in a comma, he survived but his family were told he would remain that way for the rest of his life. Fooled them. He lives in the area he grew up in, around 25th and High and is wheel chair bound. He lost his mother and wife both, pretty recent I think. He has a van but is unable to drive so Rowdy 55, Southside girl and I are going to get him to the next meeting if the weather is safe. His memory is bad and to talk with friends or events of the past is therapeutic. Even if you do not remember or did not work with John, events or even police routine practice might help jog his brain. If you are a former or retired office I hope you will attend the meeting and see if you can't help John out. Thanks.
