I never knew Fat Eddie's full name and I am not sure Eddie was his real name. He was one of the top gamblers in the state (and elsewhere?). He never bet on in games. He was the "house", covered bets for craps and blackjack players.
There were a couple of guys who had some loaded dice manufactured by someone in Kansas City. They were making a good "profit" from Fat Eddie until one got to drinking (never do when you gamble) and became greedy. Eddie stopped the game, checked the dice, and said he cold not see the imperfection but knew the dice were loaded. Game called and all dice were thrown away.
