Man, the last time I saw it it was a "Rust Bucket". I think Prunepicker should give it to me to haul it off for him. Don't you '78?.....It will be a "sweet ride" when it is finished......I just don't think Prunette will let him drive it without her....

Okay. If you're here within the next 3 minutes then it's yours, providing you
    can get past Prunette.

I'm going crazy to see the car.

Okay, now you've got 2 minutes... Prunette is loading her AK-47 for some
reason. You better wear a flack jacket.

    Are you allergic to napalm?

    Latest update on the Model.
The upholsterer called and told Prunette that a nest of mice must have lived
in the seat at some time. He had to replace quite a lot of stuffing.

We're going to Chickasha on Friday to pick up the tires and see if we can
pick up a few items for the car.

    Everything is lookin' good!

Yeah, we're happy with that guy's work! LOL!
There's another photo with the primer and some sanding. He's going to
start painting it in about 2 weeks.

Yesterday we picked up the tires at the Chickasha Swap Meet and bought
front and rear chrome bumpers, a floor mat, door handles, grommets for the
window handles and a bunch of other goodies.

Kewanee Green for the lower and reveals and Elkpoint Green for the upper.
Everything else will be black. The man thinks he can get us a new or
barely used radiator. That'll be nice.

I'll try to put some more shots of the progress! I'm going to work at
    Mickey Mantle's tonight.

1957 chevy 4 door 210 series. I just got it at a steal, now restoring it a little at a time. Drove a 57 chevy to Capitol hill high everyday of school. That car has many stories. This new one will too. Haha

While not a timeless old classic like the rest of yours (and yes, I am drooling), last year I finally bought the car that I wanted when I first got my license...a 1983 Datsun 280ZX, with the digital dash and t-tops. Drove it home for $500, then immediately started the restore process. I hope to have it complete by next spring.

Here's a photo I found. It was taken about 2 years ago while it was snowing.

We saw the car today. The man says he's about 1 hour away from having it
ready to paint. We took the paint codes, door handles, weather stripping and
a few other things to the garage today. It's looking good!

The car has been in the family since 1968 or so. The color you see now was
done by the restorers wife as a surprise. She bought a bunch of spray paint
from TG&Y and did it herself. Too funny!

Hey Gen64, we found the radiator. The Village Idiot had sold it in a bunch of
parts to someone that the painter knows! He's going to get it soon.

This is too exciting. How much should rides cost at the next Get Together?
I'll let you handle the business end!

I have you covered on that. But, I will need $150.00 advance from you to begin getting the brochures, Business cards and do the research (at Cattlemen's) before we can let someone ride in it....except me of course....I'll go and drive the car for you first. Isn't it strange that The Village Idiot and all of this is coming full circle....

I knew I could count on you. Mrs. Gen64 has the check.

It's very odd how everything is coming together.

Possibly paint on the car this weekend!
