camera no worky!
Someone bumped it - pointing a bit left now - wish we could get a little zoom out of it.
It's corrected now.
From the angle on Corporate Tower to the left, am I correct in guessing that the webcam is on the 16th floor of Oklahoma Tower?
This will be cool when they get the lights out in March - any chance we could get a better camera in for zooming in? Or will this zoom in - sounds like a cause worth of a fund drive :-)
Note the smoke from the battery store fire:

Is the film on the window causing the purpleish/pinkish hue on the camera? I'm looking downtown the same direction/view the camera is many times a day and sure not seeing the same hues.
Is that all they are going to clear out, right there in that small square spot? It looks really small, unless it is just the pix that make it look small.
Thunder, no that is not the entire spot, also the parking garage to the right hand side of the dirt patch. That entire area is by no means a small area. It's almost an entire City block long and 1/2 of one deep. It's almost 1/2 a city block. Remember, this tower is going to be massive, almost 1.5 times taller than anything else in our skyline.
Has anyone heard of this really awesome technology called "Smart Glass?". It goes from clear to frosted white with the flick of a switch and it's supposed to save energy by trapping in heat during the winter and blocking heat during summer. It would be awesome to see the Devon Tower go from clear to white when the sun goes down!
Yeah, I've heard of it/seen it. It would be ridiculously expensive for a building that size.
This is the coolest thing OKC has done in a while. I'm on the web cam at Galveston dot com to watch the ships come in. We also got the hotel information and restaurants and everything about the city was on the web site. I hope OKC has enough foresight to do the same.http://www.okctalk.com/images/smilies/congrats.gif
Camera looks like it got bumped - got some glare goin on too
Okay, now we need a ConstructionCam cam to find out who keeps bumping it.
Looks like they are really getting busy destroying the west parking deck. It bet it's completely gone in a few days and that will make me happy.
I've always hated seeing that huge expanse of surface parking right in the middle of downtown, as a reminder of our lack of density and failed urban renewal.
I know it will just be dirt for quite a while, but seeing it gone will make me feel much, much better.
Pete, not to be picky, I'm WAYYYYY appreciative of your generosity of getting and hosting a construction cam, since Devon didn't man up and do it, but do you have any idea as to why the cam has a pink hue to it?
I think it's due to the southern light coming through the tinted windows in the building.
That was what I was wondering, window tint.
Combination of window tint, glare and 640x480 resolution.
And remember, since the camera is facing due south, it gets a lot of direct light. That's never a good thing for any lens.
