Surprised tuck didn't mention it yesterday, but Red Prime just changed up their happy hour menu.
portobello fries? i'm intrigued. -M
Sidewalk patio looks great!
We'll be there soon ...
Is it every day - even weekends?
my eagle eye caught a typo on the new menu
did you intend "tenterloin"?
Maybe that's a special cut from the center of the tenderloin?
We recently enjoyed the new happy hour menu
Chicken Satay skewers w/onions & peppers + chimichurri ? sauce - love that sauce!
(I think I could eat ton of it as salsa with tortilla chips -- want to try to make some for use with my own recipes at home, its so good!)
That is the best Shrimp Ceviche I've ever had - plenty of large chunks of shrimp and fresh lime, etc. very ample portions for the low happy hour prices!
We were happy for sure! Will be back.
tburn, why don't you just buy some of the sauce to take home at Market C?
on my way!
(after payday!)
Congrats Tuck...Pretty impressive
Congratulations! This is awesome! Well deserved.
Congrats! Awesome! In my travels, I've always told others it's a Top 10 steakhouse in the U.S., now it's confirmed! Going to Vegas this weekend for work, will definitely be bragging on Red Prime, and now I have an article to prove it's Top 10!!
Since moving to one of the Maywood Brownstones early this year, Red Prime has become one of our favorite dinner spots. It is so great having a world class steak house in the neighborhood.
Several months ago I took a business associate from Houston to dinner there and last month we had dinner at Morton's in San Francisco. When he was back in town last week, he requested a return to Red Prime. Quite frankly, we both preferred Red Prime to Morton's.
Comparable food and service with better attention to detail and creativity with substantially better pricing. Especially the wine prices.
That's HUGE! Congrats, Tuck!

Congrats Tuck! Very well deserved.
And more great pub for OKC in general.
What are Red Prime's hours? I didn't see anything on the website off hand. And also anyone have any idea if the Price Fix menu will still be in effect for a few more weeks? Such an amazing deal, I have friends coming into town mid November and would love to take them to an early dinner for a bargain.
Congrats man, definitely on par with some of the best steakhouses I ate at in DC.
Got in there for the first time not too long ago, I got the NY strip with the Chile crust, and the crab cakes with a few glasses I think "Big Fire" Pinot Noir.
The date had the salmon, or tilapia I can't remember.
Anyway, it was pretty fantastic. We especially liked the ambiance of the lighting, definitely the best restaurant experience in Oklahoma City I've been to. Even better than many of the "ritzy" places I went in DC for a quarter the price.
I've spent the past 5 years teaching myself how to cook the perfect steak and I've happened across a pretty good recipe you should try sometime for kicks.
I grind up dried ****ake mushrooms and coriander with thyme and rub it on an inch thick cut strip for a really insanely good crust. I like it like that by itself, but a girl I dated for a few months like it with a red wine/balsamic vinager mushroom sauce on the side for dipping.
Anyway, enjoyed the experience. I plan on taking advantage of the happy hour specials sometime soon.
I absolutely love Red Prime! I'm not a big steak eater, but the macaroni and cheese and HUGE carrot are amazing! I know it sound weird, but trust me, they are both to die for!
Wagyu Wednesdays at Red PrimeSteak...check it out!! Every Wednesday night!!
