Cool! Midtown is turning out really well. It's a great place to dine, just wish there were more retail. I also am hoping we'll get a streetcar that runs there, as on days like today, it's not really very bikeable.

I dined in Midtown last night at the Boulevard (it makes me feel younger and I loves me some ice box pie). I am sorry to say I did not notice those signs but will be on the lookout for them. It is fun to stand in the Boulevard parking lot on a Tuesday night and see so many people out and about. It used to be if I wanted my fix of ice box pie I would have to take a stick with me to defend myself.

I live in the area and was walking around the other day and noticed them. They are oddly spaced. I wonder how they decided on which light posts they would put them on.

    Who paid for this signage?

  7. Default Re: MidTown gets new district signage

Probably came from bond issue money for streetscapes.

Nope. I would image the Midtown Development Corporation paid for it.

This project and the similarly designed Midtown Gateway Marker project were both funded via grants and donations received by the Midtown Redevelopment Corporation. As many of you already know, the Midtown Redevelopment Corp. is a non-profit and, at this time, 100% volunteer organization focused on the revitalization of the Midtown area.
