I am not necessarily recommending a continuous streaming webcam, so Jimbo, that wouldn't be as much of an issue - I think the most reasonable route to go would be a pretty simple webcam setup that takes a still photo over X seconds and uploads it. That way its not like you could see every detail, but would help us get to see what we want, which is the progress.

Knowing that everything you do in your office could be seen by your bosses ...

Been there, done that, still have a shirt or three from it. Simply put, one tends to go 'camera blind' rather quickly, going about one's day no differently than it the cameras were not there. If someone is productive, they will still be productive. If one is a slacker, the camera won't change the person's nature more than a day or two, maybe three. It will document what happens if the cameras are tied to a recorder, but then again, so will an on site supervisor so no real difference beyond a better record existing.

Where did you locate the garage rendering that you posted several messages back. I've not seen that one before ... I'd like to check out the source if it's available. It's good to see different vantage points ... we're probably spoiled by now of seeing the same ol' same ol' .... bratty kids we are!

Doug, that garage rendering was from a huge PDF file that Devon submitted to the city not long after the official announcement. I couldn't find it on the city site any longer.

It was the only new rendering in that package.

Anyone have any pics from the last few days? I drove by the construction site on my scooter last night and they had men working on it. I hope they have 3 shifts of crews working 24/7.

Nah, no different than any other major city. Heck, try sleeping in NYC. Sirens, trains, etc. blasting at all hours of the night, most people live in old buildings with poor insultation and windows too. Many major construction projects across the globe have 3 shifts of workers on projects like this. Devon is generous enough to have bought the Colcord for a good amount, should any construction problems such as this arise.

They are Styrofoam boxes... don't know what's in them.

I don't think anything is in them, they appear to be solid.

I went down for a closer look and they are carving pieces off and extending rebar between... I'm not in construction so I have no idea what that's for.

Possibly spacing to keep the rebar off the ground when they poor cement.
