Default OKC Skyline in movie: Defending Your Life

I noticed it when the movie came out in 1991 but just now bought the DVD and did a screen capture:

It's also featured on the cover of thd DVD/VHS:

I've always enjoyed the movie and for those who haven't seen it, here's a link:

OMG. Funny how OKC is portrayed as "Judgment City". That courthouse art deco must have done it for the art director. You can tell they cut and paste the buildings. That IMDB trivia section should be updated to say that the cover city (not aerial) is OKC. Cool discovery, Malibu.
    Continue the Renaissance

Ditto! I've enjoyed this movie for years, even own the DVD, but never noticed! Very cool, and, yes, a great trivia question!

Good movie; Excellent find MalibuSooner. Hopefully the artistic liberty of placing the trolley-train in the foreground is a prediction of our future; the near future I hope. Improved urban transit could provide beneficial links between the Deuce/Bricktown area on the east side of downtown; the Arts District on the west and Midtown to the northwest.

What's strange is they use an aerial of Denver for this scene:

    Very Cool Find

It could be intentional. When the recently dead arrive in "judgement City," the tram hostess asks if anyone was from Los Angeles. When "Daniel" raises his hand, she says "Judgement City" is designed to look like home. Example. If you lived in the western half of the United States, the city would look like, say Los Angeles or even Oklahoma City.

So. Since Oklahoma City and Denver are both in the western half of the country, it is possible the continuity director was trying to convey this message by showing more than one person's viewpoint.

So this movie is based in OKC? I want to watch it just for that reason. LOL See how many sites I recognize...

No, the just used the skyline for the backdrop in that one scene, which lasts all of 5 seconds.

OKC doesn't appear anywhere else in the film.

That's crazy. I saw that movie years ago but it certainly is wierd that they used OKC in there. I'll have to rent it and look again.
