All the movies I've seen recently are primarily animated or involve animals. Can you tell I have kids?!!

    Good ones....
    The Incredibles
Star Wars III (won't allow the kiddos to see until they are teens)

    Bad ones.....
    Racing Stripes

Obviously I don't get out much!!!!

Madagascar was really cute, saw that at Northpark on May yesterday - very funny.. even for the adults.

I'm seeing Dark Waters today maybe if I don't chicken out... it 's at the dollar movies in North Park.

Here is the website for the movie times:

Without a Paddle was really funny

    Worst Movies:

    Cursed

(the worst movie I have ever seen - even taking over
Freddy Got Fingered's spot as worst movie)

I have to admit I am not that impressed with what is coming out of hollywood these days. On average I will see maybe one movie a year in a theater and maybe watch two or three on DVD.

It will probably be a long time before I step into a theater again. The last movie I saw was interrupted by people talking, cell phones ringing, kids playing in the aisles and every other interruption imaginable.

The only way I will go a theater again is if I'm on a date and she requests to see a particular movie.

These days I just wait until a movie comes out on DVD.

  12. Default Re: Top Ten Best/Worst Films of 2005 (so far)

You are not alone. Most people feel the same as you, especially regarding going to the theatre. And that is why there has been such a downturn in ticket sales of late.

  13. Default Re: Top Ten Best/Worst Films of 2005 (so far)

Yeah, most people would agree - I usually will wait for the DVD unless I want to see something right away. But it was interesting the other night, we saw 40 Year Old Virgin. We had to buy tickets 40 minutes in advance and even so, the theatre was completely packed with people without even one seat open.

I don't mind the dollar movies - I don't feel so ripped off if the movie stinks.

My ulterior motive is the popcorn

we can add to the list of worst movies. the transporter 2 is horrible.

  15. Default Re: Top Ten Best/Worst Films of 2005 (so far)

  16. Default Re: Top Ten Best/Worst Films of 2005 (so far)

I could have told you that about both of those without seeing them.

  17. Default Re: Top Ten Best/Worst Films of 2005 (so far)

I just watched Wicker Park - that was beautiful, a wonderful movie. Maybe a bit of chick flick involved but Lordy that man is gorgeous!

just thought af this movie, dont know if it was released this year though. the machinist. stars christain bale, one of the most underrated actors. this movie was awesome.

  21. Default Re: Top Ten Best/Worst Films of 2005 (so far)

I loved The Machinist. It's in my top 30 or so of all time. I saw it last January at the OKCMOA. So nice to have an art-house theatre now, even if they only show one thing at a time.

  22. Default Re: Top Ten Best/Worst Films of 2005 (so far)

i got a sneek preview of cry wolf. STAY FAR, FAR AWAY form this one. this movie was laughable. very predictable up to the end. both my friend(film critic extrordinare) and i thought it had a good twist at the end.

  23. Default Re: Top Ten Best/Worst Films of 2005 (so far)

Whoa... I just watched the Machinist... wow, I have to watch it again... really, really thought provoking - very powerful
